Letting her guests continue on to the family room, Danielle pulled from the refrigerator the round platter she'd prepared that afternoon. Its two pounds of pink boiled prawns, garnished with lemon slices, surrounded a cup of homemade cocktail sauce. She set it on the kitchen counter and removed the Saran Wrap that kept it fresh. She also retrieved a crock filled with salmon pâté and put it in a wooden platter with whole wheat crackers.
