I want to thank everyone for their time in posting here. I debated for a week as to whether or not to make this post. I've started it 3 times, just to back out and not post it. But yesterday as I re-wrote over 4000 words on my current story I had to ask for advice. The only reason I mentioned my mental state was for accuracy, but I got some great advice from many of you. I will be talking to a pro. I have accepted living this way and some of you have made me realize I don't have to accept it. Thank you.

Frankly, when I see a posting like the OP on Internet discussion boards, this is the first thought I have too. If the problem is genuine, I think seeking help from strangers on the Internet is more than a bit crazy. If it's just to get attention, I'm not interested in being an enabler.

The internet is anonymous which makes it a safe haven for people to vent and ask fpr jelp with their issues rather than the risk of confiding to a real life perspn who knows you.

Your statement is an ignorant callous one.

Its also the type of remark made by someone with no undetstanding or experience with the situation or an ounce of compassion.

But that is the response I would expect from a soft sheltered little man who has gone through life wanting for nothing.

You're ignorant and sellf centered and the biggest attention whore on this site. You just demonstrated that by commenting on a thread you know nothing about just to say you said something. And of course nothing you would dare say outside of the little box you live in

I don't always, but in this case I agree with you that the comments were callous, and you "shamed" me into saying so. You point out one of the internet's major attractions, and one that speaks directly to me (as it must to many of us here, including, dare I say, Pilot). Hats off to you for speaking out.

I am sorry for the OP's pain, and hope he takes the good advice offered here by others who know better than I. Lit helped me out of a fairly serious depressive spell. If nothing else, it took me out of my brain and into my body, and the comic relief is hard to beat!
