What's the one thing you couldn't go a month without?

I'm not talking about food or water or air, but something that you don't need but you 'need'. I've gone without this board for a month. I've gone without masturbating for a month. I've gone without a car for several months, music even human company.. However, I need my comic books.

Yes, there's something about those poorly draw and scripted books that makes me ache to spend my hard earned cash. I've done it since I was 12 and I'm not likely to break the habit anytime soon.

So, what can't you go without?
Or, if you're the type that can go without anything that isn't necessary, what would be the last thing you'd give up?

My Phone. Without it I wouldn't have my sweeties voice in my ear.

Besides that, I guess My Car, Now I would be lost without the freedom it brings.

That's two things.

Sorry, Ambrosious, but you've gotta go.

Well as long as you put it that way. see you, honey.

If were talking people here, which I didn't think we were then without a Doubt in my mind, I couldn't go a month without my son, hell I couldn't go a day without the little gorgeous devil :)

Hugs and kisses from my kids.

I took a trip last June and it was hard to be away from them for a week.

A shower.

I second that but would like to qualify it. A HOT shower. It seems that many countries in the world have plumbing systems which are designed to deny you this luxury. I like it boiling, skin-stays-red-for-hours hot, not the lukewarm trickle some countries classify as bathing.

When I was a teenage backpacker, my friend and I who had just spent a month in Indian youth hostels, squandered the last of our money so we could stay in a palatial five star establishment which had endless, high pressure, steaming hot water. Okay, at this point the two toilets were also a definite advantage. It's amazing how quickly we recovered from our ailments after a couple of days of hot showers though.

I would also like to add that my pursuit of a hot shower nearly killed me in Romania. I had the water pressure up full blast and was merrily enjoying my daily ritual when I heard a crackling noise. Turned out that drops of water were splattering onto the live electric wires in the low, uncovered ceiling of the bathroom. Perhaps, just a little hotter than I'd planned!!

In short, A HOT, decent shower. I couldn't go a day without one.
