The world had changed. Ever since woman’s suffrage there seemed to be a steady gain towards women’s rights. Women could work and get paid equally as well as men. They were leaving their homes to pursue a career which left the home front to be watched by men. This was not acceptable as men had always been the dominant ones of the household. With the pendulum swinging favorably to women, men felt as if the very essence of their man hood was being threatened. Underground organizations such as The Society of Gor, sprang up everywhere and soon America was overwhelmed with them.
The swell of male dominant organizations created a public outburst of protests and strikes. It was as if time had reversed and the men were now fighting for their rights. However, they were fighting for more than that. They wanted their old lives back, and they wanted women to be their subordinates. A bitter social and political revolution ensued, and with the start of the millennium men began to see the change in their efforts. They were beginning to get their dominance over the household back, and were seeing a subtle shift in the political aspects.
Over time everything had changed so significantly that woman had even less rights than before the suffrage. They had reverted back to a time that was probably more alike to the medieval era or even to times before then. Work for women was hard to find and was often more akin to slave labor as payment was a small pittance and not enough to survive. The only way for women to live was to marry.
This was where Adrienne Moraino found herself, sitting in the parking lot behind a dark alley, staring off into the distance. She had been so desperate for a position that she had finally decided to respond to the one and only ad that allowed women to apply…
Looking for women to apply as personal entertainment. Serve and please the clientele. Dancing will be required per request. Training will be completed as needed. Apply within at Club Evannas.
Adrienne sighed softly to herself as she studied her reflection in the mirror. She had applied only a little makeup her lips tinted a lush red. Her long lashes framed dark, emerald hued eyes accented with mascara. She had spent some time arranging her hair across her shoulders and down her back into spirals of loose curls. With all this she still felt a sense of inadequacy and could feel herself frowning before she noticed it in the mirror. Forcing her gaze away from her mirrored twin she focused on the neon sign glowing outside the entrance to the club.
Her thoughts focused on her present situation and all the events that led her here. When her father died her mother had been left to raise her daughter by herself. With the change in rights for women Adrienne’s mother chose to leave her daughter out of etiquette school. She did not support the male dominance movement and did not wish to promote this behavior in her child. Little did she know this would make things extremely difficult for her daughter. Now Adrienne was sitting here outside this club owned by a man committed to the Society of Gor. She knew this only by the research she had done and had also learned that this club was still active and held frequent meetings for its members.
Adrienne closed her eyes and pushed open the car door. Her black stilettos clicked on the asphalt as she strode away from the vehicle. Her long legs were clad in dark blue denim that accentuated her curves while her hips swayed with each step. Her hands flew to her red top and for a moment she worried that it may be too revealing as the neckline plunged dangerously low and her back was exposed. With that thought she shook her head remembering her desperate need for this position and the fact that she was applying to a club.
The door pushed open easily to reveal a warm interior with dark wood floors. There was an entry desk that currently stood unmanned and a hall that extended beyond that, otherwise the building seemed rather devoid of life. Adrienne frowned, while tapping her foot against the wood.
“Hello?” she called out wondering suddenly if she had made a wrong decision.
