Benjel Darmel waited impatiently at the pod base, looking for Terni, she was late again. He'd spent his entire swarm getting here, and now it was too late, he would be heading back before they exchanged gifts. It was a tradition, under the two moons of S'haran, when the two orbs collided, sharing the same space, gifts could be exchanged in promise. He and Terni had been sworn for a star's journey, and it was but for the exchange that their mating remained incomplete.
Benjel rolled the object between his fingers, a dark lusterous rock, he'd found it the day he'd met her, it held significance for them both. They had not been intended, had stolen away from a colony to share a breathe of the air outside control of the machines. It was acrid, smelled of ammonia, but they had done it together. Benjel had found the rock near her feet, uncovered from the settle of dust. They were all but weightless as they ran first 10 feet out, and 10 feet back. It was their second pass thay Benjel found the stone, and Terni had asked him for it then. It was a simple, honest gift.
The planet and theme are open, looking for an imaginative partner to help create and describe the worlds at large.
