Alright this is concerning literotica. I've emailed them 3 times for the pass 3 weeks and no response.


I accidentally signed up with this user name Anubis_Serreta

This is my pen name that I plan to publish with, and I don't want to kick up a stink when they see me on an erotic site. I've been trying to change it but I do not know how. Or do I have to redo an account, and if so, how do I disable this account?


Can anyone help me?

Just make a new account and don't use that one anymore. Make sure you have no info on your profile and just let it fade into obscurity.

There have been occasions where Laurel and Manu (the owners of this site) will allow you to change your name. (In very rare and serious cases they will delete the account, but...).

I was told the procedure to change your name is as follows:

At members.Literrotica.com you would log in to the name you wish to change. Then follow the procedures to submit a story, except in the 'Title' area write 'Name Change'. Then in the body were the story would go write the name you want. Make sure that new name is available before starting the request.

It might take a few days for the change as it won't have the same priority as story submissions. Patience and gratitude will always be well received.

When I Googled the name it looks like someone made the same mistake and signed up for a yahoo email account in the same name, and signed into another website using that email address.

They also logged into a second website and used the name as their user name, so unless you can go and ask them to stop using the name (possibly under copywrite law, but you would have to prove your use of the name before their use).

There were 8 in Lycos, 5 in MSN, 24 in Ask Jeeves.

So one more on here wont make much of a difference!

Yea Ezzy, those are all mine, at least the original Anubis_Serreta's anyway. Well I might just leave this or try to change it. I"ll just make a new name when the future comes, thanks.

I don't see the big deal. My pen name (Ravin, how grand) is on here. And what you think some publisher is going to deny you anything because your on this website. If anything, this is where you want to put your name on. If you write anything, it will start to get your name out there.

They are no longer deleting names and accounts at will, nor deleting mass posts and leaving 's, unless as Cathleen said, it's a very serious issue. I

The name procedure is correct. But pick something you're not going to want to change next week.
