So I have an idea for a thread and want to know if anyone is interested. Basically my idea is simple a thread based around a small group of humans/elves who are fighting their last stand against endless hordes of orcs and are slowly being defeated. I know it sounds cliché and all that and yeah it’s almost solely based out of my lotr fetish but instead of heroes being played just regular rank and file. The thread would be about bonding and finding hope in the darkest of dark hours. When the thread has run it’s completion I am not opposed to having the characters ultimately defeated by the orcs but I wanted to have a contained story where characters aren’t going off everywhere and heroicly slaying hundreds of orcs. In fact I hope more to focus on the time in waiting when a battle is about to begin and the characters spend their time talking of old war stories, or their life back home or the new friendships and/or other relationships forged during the war. It’s all really vague sounding I know but if there is interest I want it to be open-ended so everyone gets a say in the story before I go and make a whole plot up solo and find nobody is interested… anyway I’m rambling so feel free to pm me or post here. I will post the character I plan to play soon… oh and one more thing if people want it can be lotr-canon or be a completely different world I’m open to any suggestions. Thanks for letting me rant.
