Describe an exotic alien jungle world in less than 4 sentences. I'm stuck, and I'm on a roll and want to get pass this hurdle!

Dense vegetation blocked out the blazing sun over head, but trapped the humidity so the air was wet and heavily perfumed with the huge flowers that dripped pollen. Strange beasts lived in the canopy, hidden from all eyes. A terrestrial expedition could not discover even half of them; and the climate destroyed within a few days any ship that landed on the planet's surface, at the same time the vines overran the hull and tore it apart.

Sorry, can't help with the baby... :D

Piss colour the river was. Two green moons lit the sky silver-blue. Soil textured like fresh turds. Smeled pleasantly of Cerry bloosom, however.

She said "however", a lot.

Fantastic! Humidty and flowers, what a great idea. Maybe a green river.

Carson, you're forgiven! :D

The two moons were setting, one full, one crescent, falling behind a thick forest canopy of every shade of blue, tinged purple now as the orange sun rose in an coppery sky. Tendrils of mist rose from the shadowy, silent trees and from the surface of the slowly moving, oleaginous river. The forest was awakening: strange and dank and dangerous.

=======

In a SRP game we had two moons in the sky that circled each other like a spinning dumbell. I always liked that image.

In another story I had jungle rivers that were so full of microscopic life that the water was gelatinous.

Great imagery! Love the dangerous mysteriousness of it. :rose:

You can have sex immediately -- but it's not likely to be comfortable. If the birth was vaginal -- and an episiotomy (the incision to enlarge the birth canal, which is almost a "given" in the U.S. these days for hospital births) was performed, it'll probably be several weeks before penetrative sex is enjoyable. If there was no episiotomy, that time could be lessened dramatically.

However, there are SO many factors beyond the condition of the vagina to consider. Mom will be lactating ... and the "let down" of milk involves some of the same hormones as orgasm, so she may feel a form of satisfaction that lessens her desire for sex. Mom will be TIRED. Not only is parenting a newborn an energy drain, but lactating really (no pun intended) sucks it all out of you ... at least initially. Mom's nipples will be SORE if she's just started nursing. Those first few pulls of a newborn's suckling can curl your toes!

And, there's locchia to consider. That's vaginal bleeding following birth -- which happens whether the birth is vaginal or via c-section. The amount and duration vary considerably ... and can last up to a month. (Typical is about equivalent in amount & duration to a menstrual period.)

Orgasm does help tone the uterus & vaginal canal, though, and more quickly return it to its pre-pregnancy condition.

Mothering.com has a nice discussion forum for such issues -- from a natural perspective.

I was under the impression that sex immediately afterwards (presuming the desire was there!) was dangerous. Something about bleeding, damaged tissues and sexual fluids.

Where's Logophile?

I didn't say it was without risk. ;)

Doctors will tell you it's safe anywhere from three to six weeks after birth, simply because of the risk of infection.

My doc told me "it's best to at least leave the hospital first."

Of course, in reality it was about a week for us, for reasons already listed above.
