Such a sad day for Ireland, one of our greatest poets and writers has passed on. I remember studying his works when I was at school, and they will stay with me forever.
Even in the midst of The Troubles, he wrote and reminded the world that so many of us in Northern Ireland were just your normal working folks, with strong ties to the land that cultivated us, and our families.
His writings are timeless, and he will always be remembered.
