This is stolen from a LJ meme that I've seen of late. I'd be fascinated to see what responses Litizens could give.

Leave a list of fictional characters in this thread that you would love to get a message from. It is then everyone else's mission to write you an in-character "letter" from a character on that list and PM it or post it here.

Dear Cloudy,

I'm sorry for the pause in correspondance. I'm still not used to the concept of correspondance and especially not via a machine. It's curious to think that, many miles away, you'll be reading my thoughts as though we were in the same room.

Life is still... complicated. Much of this world is still a complete mystery. It amazes me how people get through every day, with such a cornucopia of sensation all around them. Even now, I can feel the keys against my fingers and the curious mixture of cold air from a window and warm air from the heater. My left side is warm while my right is cold and I can't think of the words necessary to describe it to you. I'd expect you take it for granted.

The sensation I feel the most is still loss. Unlike most humans, I have a certainty about what happens after death and I know that she is safe. However, some selfish part of me wishes that I was with her still. I suppose I am picking up the human habit of greed, lusting after what I can't have.

Tell me more of your life, every detail you can imagine.

Dear lǎo péngyǒu,

I won't blame you if you delete this wave without reading past the sender ID. If I were still in your situation then I might too.

If you are reading this, then rest assured that I have done everything that I can to try and make it untraceable. No communication from me can be considered one hundred percent safe with the price that I now command, but I hope that I have learned enough during my brief criminal spell to keep the weight of the Alliance from your head.

The truth be told, I need your help. I don't know how much of my situation has been accurately reported, but I am in the process of trying to help a patient with advanced psychosis, brought on by physical damage to the brain and what I can only describe as systematic torture. There's no pattern to her sickness and symptoms come and go seemingly at random. I fear that the condition may be out of even my reach, but the only thing that I can be certain about is that she's getting worse.

I need access to Propoxyl and at least 70ml of Hydroburin for a possible treatment regimen that I am thinking of. It's radical thinking, but if I'm correct, it may slow her descent long enough for me to find a solution. I don't like putting you at risk, but my ship will be landing on Andragon within the week and I know few enough yisheng that I can turn to.

Can you help me?
