As much snow as we got this winter...it will take awhile for it all to melt! I think spring is definately on the way. Though I have seen it snow later in May too!

Spring is definitely in full force here. The sun is shining, albeit a bit overcast. It has rained much of the weekend but I will take rain over snow anyday.

I am pretty new to this ...... but I have been on tons of boards... none this big..... I find it all a bit overwhelming sometimes.... and I can't seem to keep up sometimes.... Did anyone else ever have that feeling? Or do I just need to get out more?

Are you a smoker by any chance? What do you think of Ireland banning smoking in all public places? Do you agree?
As a non-smoker I have to agree ..... I know somebody who lives half a mile from me who has just been diagnosed with lung cancer, and he doesn't smoke .....

I cant wait for the non-smoking ban... it starts tomorrow. I dont smoke.... my hubby did, but has given up. It will be a nice change to go to the pub and not come out smelling of smoke. Be nice to have something to eat too in a non smokey atmosphere. The general feeling seems to be that the younger crowd (16-20) wont go to the pub so often... but it shouldnt affect anyone else.

You know we go into a bar or restaurant and there's a smoking section and a non-smoking section. That's a bit like going to a swimming pool and there's a peeing section and a non-peeing section. Oh, well...........
