A Higher Chat Thread

In response to the child getting a detention for drawing a smiley face on the board.............

I've given more for less. I have a rule that the kids are not to draw on my boards. If you break rules and you're caught, you're subject to punishment.

I've had parents come up to give me a piece of their mind. In 34 years they've never won. I always have my paperwork in order. ALWAYS!! More often than not the parent leaves with their head between their legs, realizing their child didn't tell the 'whole' truth. I also refuse to talk to the parent without the child and an administrator present when parents are angry.

Some teachers will give students a real hassle after such an incident. I've never done it, but I've seen kids suffer because of the attitude/behavior of parents.

** as for you done got OLd ,obviously your attitude is way old also ,My son drew a damn smiley face ,Big deal!! they should get the REAL BAD kids in school and leave my kid alone,or yes I WILL be going to the school and will probably Bitch slap that teacher who does nothing but show favoritism as MOST schools do now days instead of teach ,do you know they actullay get PAID more $$$ by the state per child enrollment?? wow some incentive!!
my son will serve his detention cause he is a Good kid and will do it this time however In the future, she will NOT be screaming at his ass in the hall ,( even after giving him the detention)therefore bringing herself and her respect level down to zero (in my book)..OR she may find herself ..WITHOUT a job...we parents who DO truly care for our kids dont take No shit...

A little light relief to start your day:

Three Texas plastic surgeons were playing golf together and discussing surgeries they had performed.

One of them said, "I'm the best plastic surgeon in Texas. A concert pianist lost 7 fingers in an accident, I reattached them, and 8 months later he performed a private concert for the Queen of England."

One of the others said. "That's nothing. A young man lost both arms and legs in an accident, I reattached them, and 2 years later he won a gold medal in 5 field events in the Olympics."

The third surgeon said, "You guys are amateurs. Several years ago a cowboy who was high on cocaine and alcohol rode a horse head-on into a train traveling 80 miles an hour. All I had left to work with was the horse's ass and a cowboy hat.

Now he's President of the United States."

Hey DLL!!! :rose:

Question:

How many lawyers does it take to change a light bulb?

Answer:

Whereas the party of the first part, also known as "Lawyer", and the party of the second part, also known as "Light Bulb", do hereby and forthwith agree to a transaction wherein the party of the second part (Light Bulb) shall be removed from the current position as a result of failure to perform previously agreed upon duties, i.e., the lighting, elucidation, and otherwise illumination of the area ranging from the front (north) door, through the entryway, terminating at an area just inside the primary living area, demarcated by the beginning of the carpet, any spillover illumination being at the option of the party of the second part (Light Bulb) and not required by the aforementioned agreement between the parties. The aforementioned removal transaction shall include, but not be limited to, the following steps:

1.) The party of the first part (Lawyer) shall, with or without elevation at his option, by means of a chair, stepstool, ladder or any other means of elevation, grasp the party of the second part (Light Bulb) and rotate the party of the second part (Light Bulb) in a counter-clockwise direction, this point being non-negotiable.

2.) Upon reaching a point where the party of the second part (Light Bulb) becomes separated from the party of the third part ("Receptacle"), the party of the first part (Lawyer) shall have the option of disposing of the party of the second part (Light Bulb) in a manner consistent with all applicable state, local and federal statutes.

3.) Once separation and disposal have been achieved, the party of the first part (Lawyer) shall have the option of beginning installation of the party of the fourth part ("New Light Bulb"). This installation shall occur in a manner consistent with the reverse of the procedures described in step one of this self-same document, being careful to note that the rotation should occur in a clockwise direction, this point also being non-negotiable.

NOTE: The above described steps may be performed, at the option of the party of the first part (Lawyer), by any or all persons authorized by him, the objective being to produce the most possible revenue for the party of the fifth part, also known as "Partnership."

yes sweety ,Life is tough ..when one has teachers that are Bitches LOL ...anyways an in-school suspension is when a child has to stay in a room ( at school) all day..by his or herself..they can do work, write or whatever..just no other kids are in there and no teachers either ,they let him out for Lunch and bathroom only ,so see how BAD it gets for drawing a 'smiley face' on the Blackboard!! and they say we have a Good Justice System in America?? yeah right...JUst like with the Michael jackson crap ,he will probably get off cause he has lots of $$$$$$ and friends with $$ also
