I'm ok... just ok....had some difficult things this week....but I'll survive... always have so far!! lol I'm glad the two of them had fun.... its always nice to just stop and play!! I think thats one reason I always give my neices and nephews fun toys etc......so we can play together....although one of my favorite activities with them is, what we call "imagination"....we usually lay on the floor and then make up crazy stories.....lots of description and outlandish activities!! We have a blast...we can go on and on.....the laughs are terrific......and we come up with some rather humours stuff!!Saoirse said:grinning.. yep!! I got my hubby to bring over his remote controlled cars so they were both occupied for hours!!!! By the time they came back in... it was the little fella's bedtime.... so a quiet night had by all!

Great Cate! How are you this morning? One of favorite thing to do with my neices and nephews has always been to make play doh. Once my neice, now 15 made a complete meal; peas, mashed potatos with gravy, meatloaf.......she still has it in her room!

Oh, it is such great fun!!! And so good for their minds as well..... and you can really get to know whats going on with them too..... so much can be gained !!! I play word association with them a lot too..... especially my neice, who will be 13 in a few weeks.... gives me an idea of what is running around that pretty head of hers!!! I just love spending time with them....without the TV or computer or Playstation thing..... we play those too sometimes.....and of course I get my butt kicked!! And thats great too!!

done_got_old said:Get the electronic drums..... I bought my nephew (the 7 year old) a drum kit and a karaoke machine. Turn about is fair play. By the way, the homemade play doh is much better than the commercial type.
I remember years ago, my sibilings and I......we must have been 11-16 (there are 5 of us in 6.5 years!!) we had the wackiest time with jello....my mother was going nuts with us....until she gave up!! and joined in...... one of the best memories!!bootgrrl said:Next time, you should join us in the jello. It's quite therapeutic!![]()

I'll say thats spacing!!! If I were to have kids, I would have wanted it over and done with quickly!!! LOLdone_got_old said:Jello was always a lot of fun. My grandmother always had 3 things in her fridge; jello, 7-up and vanilla ice cream. (I didn't know it then, but the dish she put the jello in was depression glass.) Jello is one of my comfort foods.....love the lime! 5 in 6 years! Wow! There are 4 of us born in 1946, 1948, 1958 and 1963! That's what you call spacing, isn't it?
