A heartwarming story

I heard a truly heartwarming story on the radio this morning, and I wanted to share it. I believe it happened in Mexico.

At the age of eight, a young girl ran away from home, and her family had not heard from her for twelve years. They had no idea where she was, or even if she was alive. The girl's mother missed her terribly and had recurring nightmares about what might have happened to her beloved daughter.

Last weekend, though, mother and daughter were miraculously reuinted. Fate and, perhaps, divine intervention brought about the reunion of the mother and her beloved daughter who had not seen each other for twelve years. They had each been arrested for prostitution, and started chatting in the holding cell at the jail. The daughter's charges also included public drunkedness, and the mother was being held for both prostitution and dope dealing. They struck up a conversation and realized they were mother and daughter.

In this cold world of ours, it's wonderful to hear a story as heartwarming as this one. I was almost moved to tears.

one more to warm your heart, or whatever

The following letter was forwarded from a junior high-school in Memphis, Tenn. The letter was sent to the principal's office after the school had sponsored a luncheon for the elderly. This story is a credit to all human kind. Read it, soak it in, and bask in the warm feeling that it leaves you with.

Dear Reyer School:

God bless you for the beautiful radio I won at your senior citizen's luncheon. I am 84 years old and live at the county home for the aged. All my people are gone. God bless you for your kindness to an old forgotten lady.

My roommate is 95 and always had her own radio, but would never let me listen to it. The other day her radio fell and broke into a lot of pieces. It was awful. She asked if she could listen to mine, and I said fuck you.

Sincerely,
Edna Johnston

Dear Perdita,
Thank you for that. It warmed the cuckolds of my heart.

Ah, the warm milk of human kindness lies cruddled on the dirty floor of human nature.

You are all being so sentimental! All I've heard of late are stories of family members destroying each other. Thanks for the giggles. My man's grandma is 100 yrs. old and orders all those television items for $19.95. They get handed out to the family members, as she has no use for them. She loves the process, however.

Smiles,

I love this, but think you should have said 'curdled'.

Dear Want,
No, dear, I don't think so. Knowing Rumple, I'm sure he wrote just what he intended. It may be a hitherto unknown word, but it's Rumple's word.

en re: CRUDDLED

Truth be told, it was an unconscious screw-up. But unlike most of my conscious screw-ups, this one makes a little sense and I kinda like the poor misbegotten sucker.

Honey,

Please don't underestimate my vibes. He admits an unconscious screw-up. I happen to like the word. Hadn't I, this conversation would not be taking place. You remind me of my daughter; we can get along or fight like pissed off cats. Your choice.

Hugs,

I loved the stories, especially the second one about the old bird with the radio, the imagery is priceless!

Flicka, I'm shocked at your cruelty. Well, not really shocked. Good one.

Just getting into the season spirit, Perdear!

After all, it's only fair, considering that the season spirit is getting into me!

Yep. She's got two of them. Nice ones too, but no matter how much I offer her, she won't show them to me...
