A heads up.

I've been to Hiroshima. I know about nukes.

HPV is not "triggered" by anything. The radiation from cell phones has been repeatedly shown not to have adverse biological effects. It is also much too weak to have ANY effect when not physically touching the human body. "In the same room" is a lot of nonsense.

Fortunately, I give Lit readers a lot more credit than you. I'm pretty sure they'll see right through this bullshit.

I'm done with this conversation, which I'd like to note was completely done on my cell phone.

Actually, why don't you google on your phone the latest thinking about cell phone radiation... increased brain activity hmmm... Anyway back to the point. You probably have at least one wart on your body right? Well thats hpv, and they can develop into warts by being triggered by minute amounts of radiation from sunlight. So its actually not so hard to imagine that hpv in other parts of the body may also be 'triggered'. Look take it or leave it. But I hope you pay attention to it. If you have a long term partner, then simple. Just do an hpv cleanse and ask for it from your local physician.

Hello everybody. I thought I'd just pass on this important info I received regarding public health but I'll post it here as it mostly concerns peoples sexual health. However the results of this study are as yet unconfirmed so please just bear it in mind.

I work for hospitals and heard some info the other day which greatly concerned me. For a long time now medical professionals have suspected a link between the hpv virus and cancer rates in people practicing oral and anal sex. Researchers generally try to avoid releasing public info about this up to now because the results are inconclusive and no one wants to cause a public health scare. And yet privately many studies are ongoing. The other day someone passed me on the results of a study which pointed to a dangerous correlation between radiation signals and sexual activity. It seems that generally the hpv virus is passed on through bodily transmissions and becomes activated (somehow we don't know the mechanism) particularly in cases of anal and oral sex, not vaginal where the rates of activation are far lower. Now this study stumbled onto an interesting result quite by chance. One of our test subjects (hpv positive) was wacking off (really thats what we scientists study sometimes!) into a vial for a sample analysis and happened to be talking on a cell phone at the same time. As per good scientific procedure all particulars had to be noted so the cell phone use was duly recorded by the lab assistant. In two days when reviewing the test subjects it was found that the hpv virus in this subject had been activated although he never previously had a problem and he had to be rushed to care to begin radiation treatment immediately. This got the researchers thinking and about a year ago a new series of experiments testing only mobile phones, magnetic radiation and semen samples was set up. The results are chilling. In 70 percent of cases cell phone radiation seems to activate any transmitted hpv virus, and the phone doesn't need to be held in the hand. It could merely be sitting in the same room! The researchers are worried enough to pass this on to doctors now who have been warned to look for the signs in the population at large.

What does this practically mean for you? Well If your practicing anal or oral sex chances of hpv virus transmission are now 78 percent higher than vaginal. If radiation (say from a phone) activates the virus, you face a 60 to 70 percent higher than normal rate of contracting anal or oral cancerous tumors! Many of us in the medical profession are very scared about the implications of this study. So my advice to every one would be for now until results are conclusive, try to confine yourselves to vaginal sex only! And of course abstinence is the only sure way. I will try to get some more info on the results of the study leaked as soon as I can, remember this is a leak not a published result. I'm leaking because I personally think people should start acting on this now.

Dude, this was bullshit HERE: http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=751119

So what makes you think that it's any less bullshit in this sub-forum???

(Nice try though, you little fundie hate monger, you! ;) )

sigh... I just moved it to this forum because I noticed it was geared towards news and current events, maybe amore appropriate place.

OR, alternately, you could be advising people to put their phones in another room when they fuck each other up the ass.

Which makes for a less interrupted sexual experience, as well.

BTW, dude, if your sex partner is always talking on the phone while your fucking them, then you got bigger (or smaller) issues then their warts mutating.

Just sayin' :D

I know! Talking on the phone while wanking, I can see that. But while fucking? Someone better hang up and pay attention.

Oy, vey. This kind of gun-jumping works on very rare occasions, like the time the intern talked to the newspapers about his findings with regard to Heliobacter Pylori and brought instant relief to millions of ulcer sufferers. But that is the only time I can think of that side-stepping peer review has been beneficial to science and medicine.

Basically, folks, do your sex safely. Besides HPV, there's herpes, an assortment of hepatitis types, HIV, and bacterial invasions such as chlamydia, not to mention our old friends gonorrhea and syphilis.

And leaving the phone in another room is simply good manners.

You know, you people jump all over this guy like he's a lunatic and you guys are the beginning, middle and end of all things on the subject. Maybe he's full of shit and maybe he's just trying to give a heads up on what could be a dangerous situation. I remember in the early 80's when a lot of people refused to believe the AIDS virus was real and continued their behavior. We all know how that turned out.

So the bottom line is this: you can either believe this guy, ignore what he says, ridicule him (like you've been doing) or remove his posts because you don't like what he says. What's it going to be? Etoile, you've got the "power" to do what ever you want so I'll just sit back and watch.

Lit is a free speech forum, and the mods have no power to delete anything. On some specific forums, they are allowed to move a post to another forum.

I do have the ability to edit posts, though. But given that I have never deleted posts because I disagree with them, that attempt to goad me isn't terribly successful. In fact, I'm far more likely to quote people I disagree with, so that if they decide to erase their own posts, the message they had lives on.

Look if you don't believe me I could arrange to send a small sample of 100 percent hpv. Just pour a little bit on your arm or something. Trust me it'll change your view of sex. Actually thats not really a good idea. We're not talking about religion here incidentally. This is about science.

Not quite sure about this but I think sending something like that through the U.S. Mail would be ILLEGAL.

If any of this were true, the government would be all over it, making it the story of the day to do what it does best... averting people's attention to the fact that America is broken and on the verge of becoming a third world country.

That's a fact. Does anyone REALLY belive that our government would pass up the opportunity (much less suppress) to prove what a bunch of diseased, disgusting homos were all are?

I means Seriously? Hell, DeMintos and Boner wwould be buying billboards FFS!

Researchers are trying not to release the info linking hpv to oral/throat cancer?

It was a big news story just this past January that still tumbles around in the headlines now.

Rise in Some Head and Neck Cancers Tied to Oral Sex: Study
Virus Passed During Oral Sex Tops Tobacco As Throat Cancer Cause
etc
etc

That HPV can cause cancer is well-known; the OP is trying to convey the message that an HPV-positive being in the same room as a cell phone can increase the likelihood of their developing cancer.

Maybe, but not how he worded his intro. And felt that needed some attention given Safe_Bet's response.

HPV related oral cancer risk is real. Gay and straight. Most of the recent headlines were mentioning the increase of occurrence in non-smoking straight men who like to eat at the Y. So it's not some homophobic spun study.

Just throw out the dubious cell phone bit for now until we see some evidence.

sigh... I just moved it to this forum because I noticed it was geared towards news and current events, maybe amore appropriate place.

Based on this, I will merge your other thread with this one, rather than the opposite way round. I agree that News & Issues is more appropriate; normally I ask which way you'd rather have the merge go, but you've already answered that with this post.

I;m hoping that the news subforum will merge down into GLBT chatter once the fetish forum has been established. The forum will move much slower for a while, and the news will be a better fit.

Look of course I'd never send a vial of virus through the post. But actually it came to mind because I did actually spill some on my skin! Ack it bubbled over with warts, no big deal. Fortunately some colloid silver solution does the trick, but the point here is hpv is relatively harmless by itself, however combined with radiation it can become a killer. Now the researchers want to focus on 'unnatural sex' because its there that evolution hasn't provided as effective defense.

I know nurses and doctors. There are not enough beds:patients:nurses:doctors as there should be. That should be the main focus of today. People can't be treated because there aint enough staff/beds/RN's/doctors.

We can focus on the minor when we deal with the major. Right. RIGHT?

:)

Seriously?

Now let's get this straight... you allegedly work in a laboratory in which you spilled a highly contagious bio hazard substance on you bare skin?

This would seem to be in conflict with your prior statements that you had just heard stuff from friends that work at "hospitals" and in contradiction to every safeguard and procedure that NIH has in place regarding the handling of hazmats.

If I remember my old college biology correctly things like HPV require AT LEAST Level II containment so you story about "spilling some on your skin" is bullshit.

Also virus like HPV don't just cause warts to bubble over instantaneously upon contact.

All of this just gives additional credence to my belief that you are just some little geeky fuck who thinks it's fun to poke sticks at the queers.
