The holiday however is......much like Christmas has simply been bastardized into "Buy shit or you don't love your s/o" more so than doing something thoughtful to express your feelings for the one you love. Turn on a TV or radio "tell her you love her buy buying her ______" allllllll fucking month long.

well, it was a day at work - but we had a glass of wine and some cake, lol.
i'm not in a relationship, so no VD presents - got some texts and a couple of cards from friends, and a wonderful surprise the day before of two fossils through the post. i love fossils! a poet friend in america sent them. made my day
