A Government And Party Of Eunuchs.

You've been crawling around looking up under government kilts again, haven't you? I thought you'd agree to stay in your garden and stop that sort of stuff.

Have you heard that the Sahahlis tried to crash another White House dinner this week? I wonder if Mrs. Sahahli wore a Mexican sombrero to this gig.

Me think you a little crazy in the head, Song. (But watch out for those "lesbiens." They gotta the big overbite.)

Naaah. Lesbiens are only interested in softball right now. Next month they'll be hysterical for Kagan. I wonder if she pitches or catches?

Jimmy that is the South Korean's problem, crazy neighbors.

South Korea needs to get close to the Chinese, maybe trade or something. Then when they have China all set for a major sell, THEN the slip a few fish into North Korean waters and say, "What, Me?"

The NK's will get all huffy and wave their guns and strut around, but as long as the Chinese see a profit in supporting South Korea, there will be no "All out War."

Of course we should support our allies, by putting four carriers off the NK coasts, orbiting 20-30 B1's and B-52's an hour out, with 10 or so B2's a half hour out, and only charge the South Koreans a modest amount for insuring their Domestic Security.

The World needs to let that pompous pompadoured piss ant get his ass in a crack and stand back and watch him. :D

Man, I'm having trouble with this Korea business going on on two threads! Jack, can you post both here and there? It's hidden under the Race War thread. :rose:

I think we're having this conversation on Thai Turmoil, too . . . I don't know, maybe that one's just oligarchs. Too many threads!

Besides, fashion and shirts have been brought into it somewhere and I'm pretty sure a striptease will breakout any second!

:D:devil::D

So what would you have the U.S. do James? Enter yet a third war? Maybe a pre emptive strike is in order, but on what scale? (And yes a full scale war would be the only option to stopping North Korea. Our usual method of lobbing in a few rockets and bombs then warning them that more is ready as we do with many third world countries wouldn't work.)

This would be an excellent time for the Chicoms to take back Formosa. ;)

I'd destroy NK's nuclear power plant for starters, to get everyone's attention. Then destroy NKs merchant marine....I mean, Obama's taken the position that sinking ships isnt an act of war, though America went to war after the Maine was sunk, the Lusitania was sunk, and the Arizona was sunk.

Unfortunately, N, Korea is responding to the fact that Obama is busy selling this country down the drain. When the regime asks the Mexican president to criticize the US for its immigration policies to the applause of the Dems, something is seriously wrong!

States bickering? Where the FFFF is the Fed Govt? This country is major FFFFFF thanks to the elitist Obama and his cronies.

If Obama is allowed to FFFF this country to the degree he wants to, you can forget about an America we know today.

Fuck it, launch all! I'd rather be dead.

James, Attacking North Korea is not an option unless you are willing for total war.

First off they have something like 1.9 Million soldiers either in their active army or their reserves. This os a respectable amount of manpower. They also have respectable weaponry including surface to air, surface to surface rockets. (Anti Ships and Anti Air.) Not to mention a not to be ignored artillery.

America attacking North Korea could easily involve China even though they have been trying to distance themselves from North Korea's hardline stance. They will most likely respond.

North Korea does have Nukes even if they are not as advanced as ours they can do a lot of damage. Their delivery systems are not as advanced as ours but they can still deliver them.

While we do have some 25000 troops there how will they fare if an attack over the border in force happens? Reinforcing them now is a bit problematic as we are fighting two other wars.

When since the Second Word War has the United States waged total war on an enemy? We haven't! It's always been limited war. Stopping North Korea will take nothing more than total war, (stopping short of Nuclear). It would be a war of not only attrition but a war of domination and occupation. We, The United States are not ready for this.

As for your references. They are not in the same scope as this as you should well know from your self professed investigations and knowledge.

Once again, the world sits idly by, wrings it's hands and utters meaningless threats as the unstable rogue nations of North Korea, Iran and who knows who else achieve nuclear capability and endanger world peace.

I'm reminded of Germany and Japan's increasing militancy and arms buildup in the 1930's when no one would do anything to suppress or challenge it. Europe was afraid of war and the US was only concerned with it's own problems.

I've read that if the US had joined the League of Nations after WWI, WWII might not have happened. Hogwash! The UN today can't do squat about anything dealing with world peace except talk about it and the League couldn't have either.

Now that we have a Neville Chamberlain in the Oval Office traveling the globe apologizing for America's existence, we won't be doing squat about this either.

It's deja vu all over again. :(

Ah well. How frustrating that there are decent people in the world.

Just went to a Randy Newman concert. Thank goodness his irony is still exportable.

China wont get involved if we limit the war to destroying NKs economy, such as it is. Mine NKs ports, sink every NK ship you catch, and take out the power grid with cruise missles. We dont need troops for this one.

I never know what the issue is that Conservatives have with the UN. Sometimes it's bad because it's ineffectual; but if it was effective, it would be bad because it's one-world government. I guess it's just bad, and they pick and choose the reasons depending on the circumstances, regardless of any consistency in logic.

The UN has never demonstrated any skill at preventing conflicts or violent encounters. Mostly its a place for the thugs of the world to get together to make deals. The mafia likely has the same sort of forum.

You keep posting links without explanation. I never click on those. Just thought you'd like to know in case you've been putting off doing your nails because you've been too busy in the Internet.

He's not very diversified in his source material. But like you, I like to see a link that supports an argument or enhances the thread conversation (such as when ML posts sexy males!), I like to hear (well usually) what the poster thinks.

Song, if you want to convince these hard-set folks of the AH of your differing world view, you'll have to bring in other sources that the locals here in AHville will believe. Use their sources to prove your case.

Even then, probably won't work. I, personally, have never seen one AHer cede a single political point to his/her opposition here. Demagoguery and deep-seated beliefs rule the day.

SR, did your latest story post? :D
