I know the price of gas varies arond the US, with the west coast usually paying more. What is the price in your area? I saw it for $1.17.9 yesterday in Portland Oregon. How much do you pay?

I paid 86.9 cents per gallon when I bought gas this morning. I have seen it as low as 84.9 here in the last few days.

To show the difference in the past few months, there is a gas station about 500 yds from where I bought my gas that went out of business in June or July. Their sign is still up and reads $139.9 for regular unleaded.

1.14$

Thank God for that. The Beast eats too much Gas!!

Around the Charlotte, NC Metro Area it ranges from 96 cents to 1.01 per gallon.

I saw it as much as 1.56 per Gallon of Regular Unleaded......

supposedly the gas prices are going to creep back up......

Chuckus, that margin between Atlanta and Charlotte has been stable for the past 10 years. I can always count on paying 20 cents more per gallon on my trips to Charlotte, no matter if it's in January, May, or October.

They're ripping you guys off up there.

I had to go to NJ yesterday, and I filled up my gas tank at $1.07 a gallon there. I was very happy about it, considering that in NY a few months ago it was up to $1.70 a gallon :)

Must be all that cheap oil we're getting from Afghanistan, now that we've crushed them under our imperialistic bootheel.

$1.13 seems to be the avg around here, though I have seen it as low as $1.01.

DON'T YOU PEOPLE UNDERSTAND?

Lowering gas prices is just another lame Republican plot by Bush, his oily henchmen, and the rich to trick Americans into buying gas guzzlers. This stuff about the law of supply and demand is nothing but hocus-pocus. As soon as we are all driving 6 and 8 cylinder vehicles, guess what will happen?

$10 - $12 per gallon, here we come. Just ask the Brits. Gas is so expensive there that the sell it by the litre and call it petrol.

How the heck are y'all getting gas at below $1.00? Is Oregon the only place left where you have to pay $1.49 a gallon? Cripes.

Rumor has it today, Arco has the all time low of the season for $1.19.. I'm moving over there by you guys, make some room for me. :)

I live in So. Calif. and just paid $1.01 a gal. yesterday, but today saw a station with gas for $.98 a gal. It varies, depending on location, have seen some areas with prices ranging from $1.00 to $1.25 a gal.

Colorado......$.97 although any little town off the beaten path will get $.20 to $.30 more

overhere we pay around 74p per litre
I can't believe I got to this thread before anyone converted this for all the Americans. :D Pablo's price is the equivalent of $4.11 per gallon.

No chance I'm bitching about the price of gas in comparison to what Europeans have to pay. Fuel efficiency is one of the key features I look at in a car. I currently get 35-40 mpg, and I will look for something more fuel efficient when I next have to purchase a car. Hopefully by then the hybrid cars will come in several designs.

It's more fun tho.. to pick a car for looks..

Who cares if you can't afford to drive it?? It will always look good parked in the driveway.. ;)

Well, about 95c here, for Regular (91).

Per Litre.

But it's $NZ.

Hmmm - about $1.51 US/Gal, but I think 91 octane is higher than your Regular. We also have 96 and 98, they go for about $.99 and $1.03.

Nope, miles, lowering gas prices is an autumn tradition in the states, as is raising them again just before Memorial Day.

Now I'm sure you'll cry "supply and demand" as any good trickle down theorist should, but it's not like the increased demand in summertime actually takes the oily companies (and their Republicans-in-a-pocket) by surprise. It happens every year so supply is never truly an issue. It's just an excuse.

UNFAIR

The lowest I've seen here is .95

Why do people in Kentucky pay .20 cents as gallon more than I do at the recieving end of the Alaska pipeline?

Are there oil fields in your back yard?
