Just tested this out -- works like a charm.
Not only is the user ignored, but you don't even see the "message from xxx ignored". You don't see any quotes from them ( that are created using the quote feature. You're out of luck with the handful of people who refuse to use the quote function or are incapable of it ) You can ignore threads without ignoring a user.
You still can't ignore Pure
If you truly want someone to vanish from the forum, as far as you're concerned, this add-on seems to do a pretty good job of it.
ETA: The posts/threads may appear for a few seconds while the page loads. Once it fully loads, they go *poof*
Edit 2: Electric Boogaloo: You can ignore huge ( mine probably counts for some ) or slow-loading sigs from individual users, as opposed to ignoring all sigs. Same for avatars.
It puts a little bar at the bottom of the screen that lets you jump to pages on the thread without scrolling to the top or bottom. Haven't messed with the highlighting yet.
Really nice little add-on. Sucks that I use IE when I post, because I keep LesLumens logged in on Firefox *laugh*
