Here is part of the article from my local paper. (The part about me.
) It's hard to believe that such a long interview came down to three sentences. LOL. Oh well. They had a picture of my book, too.

Local authors to make state fair appearances

For most people, the State Fair brings thoughts of elephant ears, corn dogs and cotton candy. But for two local authors, it means getting the word out about their books and educating the public on the publishing process.
Cardinal Publishers Group is having its annual Author’s Showcase during the State Fair Aug. 10-21. More than 20 Indiana authors will appear.
Local resident Scott Carpenter, author of Mr. Undesirable, will make his State Fair debut on Thursday, Aug. 11, from 1:30 to 3 p.m.
According to Carpenter and the book’s Web site (www.mr-undesirable.com) ,the fictional book is based on Lenny Kapowski, who is a dirt-poor, foul-mouthed, porn-addicted, binge-drinking malcontent. Life has spent 15 years kicking Kapowski when he was down, and he has never done anything to change his lot. But, in one lucky moment, he wins a giant lottery jackpot and finally sees the path to his redemption. For Kapowski, redemption comes in the form of revenge on the man he blames for his life’s woes: Dr. Wayne Stevens.
“This is my first novel,” Carpenter said. “What I have found to be the hardest part about being self-published is getting the word out to let people know the book exists.
“That’s what I hope to accomplish by participating in the Author’s Showcase.”
