So I was a bit busy today.
This morning I wandered out to the patio and put up the new blinds my wife wanted out there for a bit of privacy as well as shielding from the morning sun. Four blinds and two hours later, (Counting the time it took to drive to the Hardware Store for bolts that actually worked correctly.) and it was done.
Then it was up to the roof to fix the corner of the roof that has been praying on my mind. That took me all of twenty minutes.
This afternoon, after lunch, it was over to a neighbors place to patch the hole in his roof. (He's a nice old codger on a limited income so I charged him a cup of coffee.) Cut some sheet metal so it covers the hole with plenty of overlap. Half a dozen screws, some liquid weld and some sealant and the job is done. Normally a ten minute job.
This job though took me around two hours. Yep two hours spent on the old guys roof working as slow as possible. Well there was a good excuse. His next door neighbor was out back catching some sun. A tiny little lady maybe thrity years old wearing a thong and not much else. She could get away with it as the spot she had placed her towel was well shielded by bushes. Talk about payment for services rendered. I almost didn't ask for my coffee when I was done and she went inside.
All in all a day well spent.
