A Date That Affected More Lives Than 9/11/01...

70/30 has it figured out...

It happened "back back back back" in 79 when Tim "Purple" Raines was an Expo...

like i stated earlier:

sometimes i'm amazed at the dates people think are the important ones.

if it affects more lives than 9/11, then it HAS to be important.

A tale of two cities...

Pompeii and Herculaneum destroyed by Mt. Vesuvius...79 A.D. :D

That would imply intelligent thinking on the part of this A.Wittlechubby/KidRock1.

I think we all know the chances of that happening are slim to none, from what I've seen and read.

I know we spend a lot of time talking about masturbation here, but this thread really takes the cake.

Masturbation is always preferable to shooting lines of shit, don't you think? I may be wrong, but I'd rather be pleasure to death than die of boredom ;)

I'll actually poke my head out for this fucking thread

The first Sports Center news broadcast was on the air.

It was also the day I got into a fight with Dave Kohout in Jr High, ending his reign of terror against Glen Keller. I got a month of detention for it, and Dave got a few less teeth, which he really didn't need anyway. He tried to get his older brother to get me after that, but no luck. Dave was such a mean bully, too, he then spread a rumor that I had been killed in a car accident. That rumor actually got to the police station and my parents and friends' parents. My friends were already mourning. So I beat the shit out of him again, right in front of Tops' Begerages downtown, sending my life in a downward spiral which I have not yet recovered from, the end result being my Lit membership and the horrible affect I have on all 105K members here. That's not quite as much as 911, but thanks for noticing A.Widdlebuddy.

heh, the thread was worth reading for that little monologue of yours Storm.

That was a good story and, if true, far more important than the first Sportscenter. :p

*bows to crowd*

Yes, I didn't make Chris Berman a zillionaire, but he couldn't have taken out Dave Kohout, either.

Weird Harold, I don't think you've ever posted to me before. Now 8/26/02 is a pretty damn important day to me as well.

Whoda thunk it - A.Wittlebuddy found a date with such greatness associated with it...

ESPN was launched

I do hope this is not your answer

I think you are right. They just had their 25000th episode on TV last night. SO that is where he probably got his info.
