A Crisp Sandwich

I cannot mix food from different food groups together.
My crisps need to be separate

First of all, you can Yank deez nuts...

... I guess that's it then.

I've made a crisp sandwich before. Have you ever put fries onto your hamburger and made a thick fryburger out of it? That's some decadent good shit right there.

Never!

Check out this latest thing going on here, a fried chip cob! Looks a bit vile to me and probably would need to drink a pint of Gaviscon with it.

Crisp sandwiches are popular in Ireland too. With fresh white bread and real butter.

Replace crisps with chunky chips (flavored with salt and vinegar) for a chip buttie 😂😂😂😂

I would be the size of a house if I still lived there 😱

As a kid, every packed lunch or picnic began with putting whatever crisps I had into whatever sandwich I had. The extra saltiness and crunch improves any filling.

it's good crunch. But it needs butter or sauce. Else it's dry on dry and that's just barbaric.

I think deep-fried anything will give me a bellyache certainly. I'd like a bite of it though. Maybe half. It'll be fine.

Confession: I've only just now become properly aware of what a chip butty was. I guess what I was talking about is a burger butty then? I dunno but if you ever visit McDonald's on 25-cent hamburger night, do yourself a solid and get some chips, join these 2 worlds together with love and respect, and then marvel at the uber-satisfying texture bomb you've created.

Do they do 20 pence hamburger night? It's on Wednesdays here. It was like a national holiday when I was at university.

True enough.

My world of eating is small. I am a picky one.

You lot are missing out. In my mind I see Pete as a meatloaf sandwich type. Like....you guys remember way back in the day when TV Dinners were a thing and you had the Hungry Man dinner? That's Pete's plate. He's a hungry man. Salisbury steak and green beans all day. You though... is there such a thing as a bon-bon sandwich?

... maybe with edible glitter?

As kids, we put potato chips in our sandwiches. Ham or turkey sandwiches with potato chips.
this... and i still like adding doritos into cold sandwiches now... cheese, cold meats... that extra texture on what's too often texture-less bread is needed

good lord, of course the bread needs some kind of fat layer... enhances flavour and creates the required barrier between filling and bread to prevent soggy slices :( it seems a big thing over here to slap everything directly onto dry bread

I can't even with people who put hard cheese or a cold cut on non buttered bread.
uh huh

This is very sensible. The sauce enhances, but causes delicious problems.
