A Companion thread...

Damn, it is good to see you back here, and to know that you are still capable of thinking for yourself when so many others aren't.

Played? played what?

Druid, you make me laugh sometimes with that innocent routine that you try to pull off.

Good evening everyone.

Good morning to everyone. For those of you not working today, enjoy.

I am sorry to those that have to work today.

Baljourn, you have already started to work on it. By seeing the problems as the reality, and doing what you can do to correct the problems, that is a major step in the right direction.

Welcome to Lit and welcome to this thread and if I can be of any assistance please feel free to pm me.

Things the Movies Have Taught Me (part 2)

All grocery shopping bags contain at least one stick of French Bread.

Once applied, lipstick will never rub off - even while scuba diving.

If you need to reload your gun, you will always have more ammunition - even if you haven't been carrying any before now.

You're likely to survive any battle in any war unless you make the mistake of showing someone a picture of your sweetheart back home.

The Eiffel Tower can be seen from any window in Paris.

If a large pane of glass is visible, someone will be thrown through it before long.

If being chased through town, you can usually take cover in a passing St. Patrick's Day parade - at any time of the year.

When paying for a taxi, don't look at your wallet as you take out a bill - just grab one at random and hand it over. It will always be the exact fare.

Word processors never display a cursor on screen but will always say: Enter Password Now.

Mothers routinely cook eggs, bacon and waffles for their family every morning even though their husband and children never have time to eat it.

The Chief of Police will always suspend his star detective - or give him 48 hours to finish the job.

A single match will be sufficient to light up a room the size of Wembley Stadium.

Medieval peasants had perfect teeth.

Although in the 20th century it is possible to fire weapons at an object out of visual range, people of the 23rd century will have lost this technology.

It is not necessary to say hello or goodbye when beginning or ending phone conversations.

It is always possible to park directly outside the building you are visiting.

When a person is knocked unconscious by a blow to the head, they will never suffer a concussion or brain damage.

No one involved in a car chase, hijacking, explosion, volcanic eruption or alien invasion will ever go into shock.

Television news bulletins usually contain a story that affects you personally at that moment.

Spacecraft in outer space will make a great racket and explode with a bang, vacuum or no vacuum.

It is impossible to drown in a well or run out of air in an abandoned mine cave-in, if you own a collie.

It is always the other guy's dog who kills the sheep.

One of my little rants/rambles.

Sometimes things happen and people for some reason decide to ignore people that are honestly friends to them. They get a new person in their life, something happens and they hear something about a person that they don't like.

Instead of being adult about it and talking to the person that they have decided to ignore and telling them why they are being ignored, they just let it go.

Let me be the one to remind you, that a friend is a friend. I know that the few that I actually have in real life are real friends. The few that I have trusted online should know better than to treat someone like this.
I just wanted to remind everyone that true friends are far and few between so you might want to let the ones that you have that you do care about them.

Nice to meet you as well. Do stay and get to know us. Yes, other people do on occasion post in this thread.

Not really it wasn't. I needed out of here to stretch my legs a little.

Plus the fact that the cold and quiet can allow the mind to kick into high thinking gear.

Good evening everyone.

It goes well in my mists.. safe and cold and damp where others do not like it that is good to me.

LOL.

I am happy that there is not lots of snow.

I hear you on the snow. I thought that we were going to get some ice earlier but it ended up being just rain.

Morning

Its Wednesday morning 10 am and all I have are missing friends.

Fresh and Salty Water

A constant drip of water
drip, drip, drips into
a chipped blue and white ceramic pan.
Hypnotizes, letting the mind float free.
Wondering about the differences between
spring and fall storms.
Spring brings in the warmth of summer,
autumn brings in the cold and dreary.
But both are filled with fresh watered clouds
The pans rim is rimed with salt,
with guilt, my unfeeling fingers
reached for you and you were gone.
The pan will over flow soon,
Maybe I should get up and mop the floor.

I wonder how many will understandthe above?

Talk to you all later. Steve

Actually I don't know that any of your friends are missing. I know that I am not missing.
