The setting is a night out at a club/bar. There is heavy, industrial, alternative music beating and thumping from the tower speakers filling the entire place with a cacophony of sounds. People are packed into the club drinking heavily and partaking of other things they were able to sneak inside. Others are mingling, dancing and laughing without a care in the world. None even realize the dangers that may be lurking in the shadows of the room.

My name is Shane. http://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_m5ztosfKCA1qewhq1o1_500.jpg

I am dressed in all black....jeans, long sleeve t-shirt, biker boots, chains around my neck and off my hip. This has been an attire that I have not usually cared for...despised actually. But tonight, I made an exception. Because you see, I have to look like I fit in. I am on the hunt. I am hungry and thirsty. Looking for anything that will satiate this craving that is burning me up from the inside. I have to fill this need. I have lost track of my age due to so many years passing since I was attacked and turned in the middle of the night. I hang back within the shadows smelling the blood pumping through the veins of all these warm bodies in the room, watching over everyone in the crowd enjoying their night, oblivious that I could make their precious life end in a single instance.

You enter the club wearing a black, off the shoulder shirt that fits to your curves, waist hugged in a tight leather skirt, legs sheathed in fishnets. Your heeled boots make a thumping sound across the floor matching the underlying beat of the music, as you make your way through the jostling crowd towards the bar. You order yourself a drink, sip on it, and your begin eyes peering across the crowd seemingly looking for someone that you know. Or maybe you have an underlying purpose as well.

While being on the other side of the bar from the door, my eyes fell to you when you walked in and stopped briefly before submerging yourself into the crowd. I watch as you cross the floor and head towards the bar, thinking to myself 'Mmm such a perfect beautiful prey for a night such as this.' I make my way down and across the floor towards the bar where you are standing. Stopping along the way to brush against someone and breathe in the scent of their blood pumping right below my nose. I take a deep breath and continue moving towards my set goal.

I work my way up to the bar behind you and order myself a drink. I notice that you are standing with your side against the bar and you are holding your back to me. I turn to my side as well and slide up behind you. I reach up and place my hand on your hip and squeeze slightly to get your attention....

This was why she came here-she didn't even have to go looking, men came to her. Already warmed by the quick taste she had had of a drunk man returning home, Amber's lips curved into a sly little smile, her free hand lowering to the hand on her hip as her head turned to get a glimpse of her prey.

"Hello, hotness." She mouthed, her voice lost in the music, the thrum of the crowd. Lifting her drink to her lips she turned around, smiling at him over the mouth of the glass, dark brown eyes raking over his frame.

Hm, yes.

She stepped into him, nearly his height due to the heels, pressing her supple curves just barely, just -barely- into his taut chest so she could murmur into his ear, lips brushing the lobe. "You looking for some fun?"

Of course, he wouldn't be getting any. Like any hot blooded male, he'd follow her to the alley or a cab, and she'd devour him. Hunting, had never been so easy.

I watch as your hand slides down over mine and your head begins to turn looking at me through the corner of your eyes over your shoulder. Then you turn your body and face me. "Mmmm exquisite beauty' I think to myself. 'Such a shame all of this living beauty will come to an end in such a short while.'

"Well hello lovely. I saw you enter the club and I just had to come and introduce myself." I glare my green eyes deep into yours as we stand face to face. "My name is Shane and you would be?"

As you step up and press your body lightly against mine I wrap my arm around the small of your back and hold you firmly in place as you lean over and whisper in my arm. "Oh my dear. I am always looking for some fun." I turn my head so that my cheek is now against your cheek and I, in turn, whisper back to you. "Just be sure you can handle the fun you are asking for." You feel my cheeks rise against your skin as a slight smile spreads over my lips. I think again to myself as we continue to stand with my arm around your back 'So unknowing. So beautiful. Such a shame to end in tragedy.'

That last thought brings a slight chuckle out of me as I begin to relax my arm from around you.

"Who I am is hardly important." She murmured seductively, her free hand lowering to the hem of his pants, hooking two of her long, graceful fingers into them, but going no further.

She leaned back just enough to nod towards the door, untangling herself from him to saunter towards it and into the alleyway. The roll of her hips was sensual, sexy-though she seemed unnaturally pale in the street lamp outside, her face flushed with a hint of rose from her earlier feeding.

I listen to you as I feel your fingertips slide down my chest and to the button of my jeans feeling your fingers slip in the waist of them. "Mmm yes I suppose your right for now. Not knowing your name could make the ending of our little rendezvous less personable. Sometimes it is easier that way."

I smile at you as you lean back and begin turning to walk away. My eyes travel from your feet up your legs to your hips and back and finally up to your shoulder and neck line where I see glimpses of skin as your hair sways in motion along with your seductive hip swaying.

We step outside into the night air and I follow close behind you, passing through the soft glow of the street lamps. We reach the edge of the building and you stop momentarily as I walk up and again place the palm of my hand gently against the small of your back. I nudge you forward slightly and we both turn and begin walking towards the rear of the dark alley.

(Pardon me if I assume a motion for your character?~)

So, so very easy. Hell, she might go back in and dance after, the thrill of an easy kill tingling along her spine. She let herself be nudged further down the alley, the handsome hunk pressing her into the cold brick wall where she pressed her mouth to his, a hot, seemingly needy kiss, her hands behind his head-and then she tipped her hat.

Supernaturally strong fingers thread through and grip his hair, other hand to his shoulder as she pulled him back-a flash of her fangs in the darkness as she attempted to drive them into his neck and shoulder!

(I imagine he'll stop her, of course. Amber is a new fledgling, and so weaker than him. All in all, this might look kinda clumsy to him.)

(No worries. It's all in the flow of the story)

We reached well into the darkness of the alley and no longer able to see the beauty that is walking on the end of my arm, my mind is still playing the picture of watching your body sway. I think to myself 'This will not be a quick kill. I'm going to savor every last drop of your blood.'

I turn you and press your back against the wall and we meet for a passionate, deep kiss. I feel your hands sliding up my back and into my hair and your grip tightens. 'Mmm she is really getting into this. If only she knew what was coming.'

I feel as you pull my head back slightly and move to side of my neck. Your lips brush over my skin and I feel something eerily familiar graze across my skin. My hand shoots up and grips the front of your throat and I squeeze as I spin you and you end up on your back on the ground with me kneeling over you still clamped down on your throat. I lean over extremely close to your face and open my mouth slightly where even in the darkness you catch a glimpse of my fangs. "My my my. What have we here?"

She didn't even have time to scream-just a split second thought of "Oh -shit-!" before she found the wind knocked out of her undead lungs, firmly pinned to the dirty concrete by a man impossibly stronger than she was.

But, but how!? No WAY could this human be stronger than her!

She hissed at him as he leaned close, her booted feet kicking at the ground as she tried to scoot away from him-recognizing his -own- set of fangs. The hands clawing at his wrist went still as her eyes widened.

The situation felt all the more desperate, all of a sudden.

"Let go!" She demanded, one of those hands shoving at his shoulder, too close to punch him-the steady pressure against him all she could muster in an attempt not to have her throat slashed open, -again-.

I feel you fighting, struggling underneath my grip thinking 'How did you get around here and me not know? So another vamp is trying to move in on my scouting? Oh how very unacceptable.'

You continue to struggle and manage to get your arms up on my shoulders as you demand me to let you go. In a swift moment, I move forward and scoop you up off the pavement by your throat and slam your back into the wall on the opposite side of the alley. I continue holding your throat only now I am standing with my arm extended but still keeping you pressed to the wall. "I will let you go when you relax. You have some questions to answer though."

The pained feminine sound told him she hadn't learned to ignore pain yet, to master it. Most managed that in their first decade or so.

Her long legs bent at the knee, heeled boots finding purchase against the wall as she tried to get away from it, back arching, struggling, fighting to get loose, her hands tight around his arm, the female vampire unintentionally putting on an alluring show. Breathless, she went still once more, trying, in her inexperienced fashion, to thrall him, even though she did not know that's what it was.

"Maybe I have answers-but I'll remember better if you put me down..." What would have easily charmed a human failed to work on the more powerful vampire, but that wasn't for lack of trying.

I am clearly stronger than you are but you're fighting back and wriggling and struggling is wearing slightly. I keep from showing it to you because I know if you are beginning to wear me then you are certainly tiring faster what with all the struggling you keep doing. I lift you slightly off the wall then slam you back into it pushing the air out of you once more.

"Maybe you will have answers? I don't think so. You can clearly see that you are no match for me tonight. You walked into the wrong club doll. Now, I can either finish you off in this alley or you can answer the questions I have then I let you go."

I shrug my shoulders slightly. "Well, depending upon your answers I may let you go. On the other hand, you may die anyway."

Damn.

Fangs pressing into her bottom lip as she breathed through her parted, painted lips, Amber stared at him. She was too worn down to struggle-she was wary of another wall slam, her head already slightly spinning, her back aching from abuse.

"Okay, okay-I'm sorry. I didn't know you were like me." The grip on his wrist loosened, her dangling feet still. Her fishnets had torn in the struggle, the leather skirt riding up a little high on her thighs.

"Wha...what do you want to know?"

I feel you relax in my grip and I loosen my hand slightly. "First, I'm going to let you go. You will not run. You will not fight. We are going to have a simple conversation and discuss matters to where we may benefit each other. Understood?"

I lower you down from the wall onto your feet and I release your throat and slowly pull my hand away and drop it back down to my side.

Amber nodded, and while the thought to run did cross her mind-she stayed right where he lowered her, heels planted an even distance apart, shoulders squared-and a hand rubbing her throat slightly.

"Did you know what I was in there?" She wondered, fingers gripping the hem of her skirt to pull it back down, dusting off her curved bottom, her back.

I take a small step back and cross my arms over my chest looking at you as you gather yourself. "No I didn't know what you were. Clearly you and I both had the same intentions coming into this alley. And clearly you underestimated what I was as well."

There is some screaming at the end of the alley and we witness a fight between a man and his girlfriend. I look towards the street then back at you. "Looks like we're not the only ones fighting tonight. Now back to what I asked you inside. Who are you and where are you from?"

If she had still been human, she would have blushed. What a stupid mistake. Dammit dammit, nothing ever went right for her.

The screaming draws her attention, a frown on her lips as her fangs retract, once again looking like a pretty piece of tail. "My name is Amber. I uh, I used to be Amber Reynolds. I was a journalist. Are there alot of, you know-us?"

She took her eyes off the shouting, cursing couple, the dark brown iris' seeming black in the lighting. "I mean, I'm from New York. A...uh, well, one of -you- promised me a lead and..." She touched a flawless patch of skin at her throat, probably where she had been originally bitten.

"I woke up and he was gone." She gave a shrug, the toe of her boot nudging the ground before her head turned towards the couple again, just as the man drew his fist back- "HEY!"

Amber burst, charging down the alley if Shane didn't stop her. "Hey, lay off the lady pal!"

I listen to you talking briefly trying to explain who you are and how you were turned. You pause as you shrug your shoulders and take in a slow breath. I can't tell if that breath was you still gathering yourself from me squeezing your throat or if you're reminiscing about the life you used to have.

"Well Amber, as I said inside, my name is Shane. My last name was at one time Williams but that seemed as if it was ages ago. so now, I simply go by Shane. I usually don't know anyone long enough for a last name to become involved anymore. As far as there being a lot of us, not as many as there used to be. That's why I choose to run solo now rather than with a group. There are hunter...."

In mid-sentence you screamed out at the couple up by the street and broke into a run. I turn and run behind you careful to try and stay in the dark anyways even though we are running right for them. I call out to you as we run towards the end. "Amber, stay in the shadows. It may be a trap set for us. They're everywhere."

Luckily, it wasn't. The drunk oaf half turned, spit-and stalked off, his mousy girlfriend muttering a tearful thanks before getting into her car alone, driving off.

Amber huffed, eying the abusive bastard's back as he walked down the sidewalk, turning back towards the alley Shane still hid within. "Who's everywhere? And why would we be scared?"

She had a lot to learn.

I look out into the street and on the sidewalk. When I don't see anyone else around, I step out and grab your arm and pull back into the alley in the shadows. I stand in front of you with my hands on both of your shoulders and look hard into your face.

"Listen to me. You are clearly young and have yet to learn about everything that goes on in our world. It is a constant battle. It's not all about our feeding and you running out trying to be a superhero. What I was saying when you ran off...there are hunters everywhere and they will use every trick imaginable if they think they can lure one of us out anywhere. I have learned to be careful and what exactly to look out for where they are concerned. There are hunters. There are watchers. And there is us."

I see the look in your eyes that you may be understanding what I'm getting at but I can also see the fear that has arose from me telling you about being hunted. I drop my hands from your shoulders and slide them down your arms. "Listen, I'm not saying what you did wasn't a good thing. It was great actually. You just need to know that all situations that you see like that may not be exactly as you see it. They try everything to set up traps for us. It makes it a little easier to survive when we don't run in groups but you need to be with someone that can show you what you need to know. Deal?"

Jerked back into the dark alley, she remembered what it was to fear. She had felt unstoppable, all powerful once she got over the confusion, the terror of becoming...this.

And now she was dealing with a better monster-and what was more, there was something -hunting- them. "I wasn't superhero-ing-" She protested, a slight wiggle that relaxed when he ran his hands down her arms instead. "I would have done that even if-"

She listened to him, the troubled furrow of her brow an assurance she knew just how important it was. Her creator had abandoned her, for reasons Amber did not know.

A teacher...an -attractive- teacher would be nice.

"How...how do they know? I mean...we thought we were human. Are...are they...?" Her own hands had naturally, easily slipped on either side of his hips, rested at the small of his back.

I feel your hands slip around my sides and stop at my lower back.

"Ok maybe you wasn't superhero-ing and if it had been normal circumstances I would have done the same thing as you. The only problem is...because of what we are there is no such thing as a normal circumstance anymore. From the time you go out at night until the time that you come back in before dawn, you have to constantly be on alert. Looking for anything....everything....that may show any kinds of a sign that someone may be onto you."

I rub my hands up and down your arms trying to relax you again. "How they know is still a mystery to me. I've been trying to figure that out. I'm not sure if maybe there is a traitor amongst our kind that is helping them. Striking some kind of deal to ensure they stay alive. As far as whether or not they are human, most of the ones I have seen are. I have killed a couple that have came after me but it's not easy. They are smart and they are strong. The greatest advantage we have over them is our speed. Stay with me. I'll look after you until you're ready."

Amber turned her head slightly, pouting a little. Maybe being a vampire wasn't the fun and games she had thought it would be. "Just doing your good deed for the decade?" She asked, dark eyes sliding back to him, sly.

What did he get out of it, after all?

I watch as you turn your head and then slowly cut your eyes back up towards me. "Good deed for the decade? Hmmm I think not. Just simply looking after things that catch my interest."

Her lips curved into a slight, wicked grin. "What would...what even happens if..."

He -was- good looking, after all-and now, thrillingly-she knew he was another vampire, someone who was willing to teach, someone who had survived God only knew how many lifetimes.

And yet she had caught his eye, and apparently more than a meal. It made her feel powerful, sexy.

I take a step back away from you and see your slight smile. "What happens if what?" I have a feeling i know where you are trying to go with the question but I'm waiting for you to come out and ask.

As we stand there, I notice that the moon has shifted and more light is shining down into the alley where we are standing. It has cast more of a glow over you and I can once again notice your thin figure standing before me.
