I like the idea that the perfectly innocent exercise with the rope ignites a desire in one of the couples. They find out how much they like being tied up and so start experimenting with bondage and restraints...

after my OP, I had an image in my mind...it turns out one of the spouses is a former bosun in the navy, and suspends their partner upside down, the chair dangling from the ceiling beam- then someone notices that the suspended spouse's mouth is crotch high...

to make it even kinkier, the Navy vet might be the wife?

Haven't any of you been on a corporate bonding exercise; their not spouses, they're co-workers...

We have another good idea here; It's a two day corporate bonding retreat. The co-workers are paired off and given the rope chair exercise. They have to pic between them who gets tied up and who does the tying.

As one of the females is tying up her boss he is embarrassed when he realizes she has notice the tent in his pants and says, "Ooh, you like this don't you?"
