I need some help!

I am putting together a few 70's music CD's and I need some guidance.
Any of you 40 somethings out there have any favorite 70's tunes??? I'll need about 100 songs. From Disco....to rock.

Wish I could say I am too young to remember the 70's...even though I was just a little girl in that decade :) .

I appreciate the suggestions and thanks in advance!

I think these were 70s...

Blue Oyster Cult - Don't Fear the Reaper
The Eagles - Hotel California
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (I know that one is)

Anything from Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

Emerson, Lake and Palmer - but not Pictures from an Exhibition :D

Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon (Money)

Sergeant Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band was 1968 but still a hallmark of the 70's, mix and match with the recent release.

Thanks glynndah! Lots of songs that I like but I also want to know what other people like. It will be easier to choose that way. :)

Anything by:

Electric Light Orchestra (ELO)
Rolling Stones
Bob Dylan
Boston
Emerson, Lake and Palmer
Crosby, Stills, Nash (and Young)
Eagles
Ramones
Jim Croce
Harry Chapin
Huey Lewis and the News
Pink Floyd
The (later) Beatles

For starters. :D

I know I've wandered into the 80's (and a bit back to the 60's), but it's all the rich musical tapestry of Pop, Rock, Punk, etc. that I still enjoy.

You must have:

The Doobie Brothers
Steely Dan
Elton John
The Beatles
The Rolling Stones
Carole King
James Taylor
Kool and the Gang
KC and the Sunshine Band
Van Morrison

Lots of good ones here already.

Fleetwood Mac, You make loving fun and Don't stop thinking about tomorrow (basically, anything sung by Christine McVie with her heavenly contralto (?) voice - that other chick just irritates me. )

Allman Brothers Band Eat a Peach album (especially Mountain Jam)

Really a 60's icon, but Doors L.A. Woman from 1971 sneaks in.

Forgot one: Jefferson Starship, Miracles (written and sung by Marty Balin, not Grace Slick).
(Youtube comment: "i lost my virginity to this song......." :) :rose:  )

How could I forget Peter Frampton. Oh, I remember, I had the Frampton album (recorded in a castle) then Frampton Comes Alive was released and I couldn't get a way from it in the dorms. Same thing with Miracles, got way overplayed for me.

20th Century Boy - T Rex (and all the others)

Get Down, Get With It - Slade (and many others)

Hellraiser - The Sweet (and the live album including Burning/Someone else will)
