an idea i had that never hit the keyboard:

set around the turn of the 20th century. victorian england, london.

a young lady is engaged to be married. her mother takes her to london from their estate in the home counties, ostensibly to take in a show, take afternoon tea, etc.

the real purpose for the visit is for the mother to take the daughter to an exclusive club for monied ladies. of course, given the period it's a clandestine operation known only to a select circle. the purpose of this 'club' is to provide sexually frustrated ladies of a certain class with an outlet.

the mother takes the young lady, who is entirely ignorant to it all, to the club. whereupon they are waited on by two very good-looking men.

the young lady is seduced, etc.

the next morning, at breakfast, despite being shocked by her mother spending the night with one of the young men,the girl is totally hooked.

probably be Loving Wives - that'll make 'em spit. ;)

Cool idea, you stud.

You know, reading your post made me think about a spa...waxing, massages, and special services with special men...or women!

it was the idea of the 'gentlemen's' clubs they had back then, although they still do exist. i thought that the ladies could smirk into their hankies while they listened to their pompous, over-blown husbands trumpet on about blah blah blah, knowing they could pop to the club for a damn good rogering when they chose.

the club would cater for whatever quirk the lady enjoyed. it could be straight one-on-one, multiple men, the exotic (black), other women...

etc.

There is a similar story, a lot kinkier(read VERY fucking kinky) written by Anne Rice under the pen name A. N. Roquelaure, called Sleeping Beauty. It is a trilogy of books so be ready to put some time into reading

It's a bit of a stretch to call the Sleeping Beauty Trilogy similar to this. If you're at all squicked by gay sex just read the first one and if you're feeling ballsy the third. Skip the second, it's mostly about Prince Charming. If you're not then read em all the way through, just be forewarned. That fact that you kinda notice in Anne Rice's vampire novels where all her characters are Bi and it never occurs to her that people might not be bi is really painfully obvious here.

I once wrote a report for college on the similarities of the movies Cocoon and Kids. I aced the report. I find weird connections.

The similarities I speak of is the training aspect. It does start in left field and goes a lot further out than that. Sean does make a good point, don't jump in if you are squicked by gay sex, bdsm, rape, pony play, torture, etc.

I aced proving the similarities between Xena and Power Rangers once. Just because your BS is stronger than the teacher's common sense doesn't actually mean you're right. It just means you're the smartest person in the room.

I did kinda undersell it but it doesn't (for me) get really kinky until book 2 and it calms down in book 3. But I don't see how anybody could be squicked by pony play. I get it not being your kink and turning you on but I don't see how you could be grossed out by it anymore than say gym class on Halloween. But. . .yeah that's me. I don't get off on it I just kinda skim past it.

I like the story idea. But when she goes to the club with her mom is she married yet? And does she see what mom does too? Perhaps all part of her learning the tasks a bride must perform. Maybe mommy is very hands on in teaching her daughter too.

Not to keen on the Victorian part-2014-15

Not to keen on the Victorian part-2014-15 is when they need instruction-how to succeed in marriage without really trying and the key is being directly shown how the brides maid thing works (keeping the grooms dick hard) and how the financing works -spreading the good news to others. I can publish and have images. cheers

now that she is engaged her training must begin. With the help of her mother and perhaps her fiancee's family as well.

I checked Marriage Training and it was much more about punishment. I see the story as her sexual awakening and how to be the perfect wife to a randy Victorian man who attends many sex clubs

Women in Victorian England used to visit their doctor for treatment of hysteria. The fifth household electrical appliance ever invented was the vibrator. It was invented to help doctors who's arms became tired. Perhaps that could be included
