It's a damn good story. There's a good reason it has so many ratings and such a high score despite only being 750 words. Hell, I enjoyed it, and everyone was human!

Flash fiction is hard, so anybody who can do it as well as @SmilingLez did in her story is pretty damn impressive. You ought to read it, it's a great story. Highly recommend.

I can't compete with the big players yet, but I've got 37 stories published. 25 chapters in a serial, 12 standalone or one-off spinoff stories. And so far, I've pulled a red H on all of them and only three below a 4.75. Bragging here will probably get them rated down lol, but nobody in real life knows I write here, so I've got to share somewhere, right? Eternally grateful for the overwhelmingly positive response I've gotten since I started here in late 2024. Going back and reading all the positive comments makes it all worthwhile.

I love it when this happens. The first part of my serial has 16 chapters, and the second has 9 so far, and once every couple months or so, somebody favorites one chapter after another over the course of a few days. Huge ego boost.

I keep a spreadsheet of my stats and update it after about a month after releasing a new story, working from the downloadable data sheet from Lit. Yes, it's very egotistical, but I update it less frequently than I used to. Much less.
So, I updated it today and just for the ego boost I deleted the scores from every 750-word and every LW story, just to see the effect on my averages. If you're having a so-so day and could use a pick-me-up, I do recommend it.

This is still one of my faves. And I remember enough of it to tell you that I enjoyed the way you treated the two cameras, making one a Nikon and one a Canon, which made it much easier to remember if it's the far one or the one he took to the bed. Nevermind the characters, which were great.

Anyway. Awesome story, glad so many people enjoyed it.

Apparently, it's pretty common to gets a lot of 1s right out of the gate. Lotta trolls. I'm fairly certain there's a not-insignificant contingent of arboreal salamanders.

Haha. Even if a few people have added the story to faves, I just realised...I might have taken the category 'Loving Wives' literally. Probably should have put it in the Erotic Couplings...

I don't tend to rack up nearly these kinds of view numbers, probably mostly due to the unusual and niche nature of things I write. What I do feel good about is when a more bizarre concept I expect to get widely panned ends up being more well-received than I anticipated.

What? The world has spun around the sun for an entire year, four seasons have come and gone, the Seahawks won it all, I had to hike several km for three mornings just to get into cell phone range and made it through surgery and all I get is this? A Wordle “badge”?

Still pretty happy. BTW, the 100 percent is an average. There have been a few misses over the years.
