I suppose that in the early thirties it was usual for parents to name their children for themselves and other family members.My eldest brother,Frederick Harold,my sister,Elsie Mary,were named for my father and mother.My next two brothers were named for uncles,Thomas James and Maurice.My other brother was named Leslie.Nice everyday names.So how,by all that's evil,did I end being named Harmig?.I wish I knew where that came from.Tell me your hated name.

What I can tell you is that your brother Leslie didn't fair much better. What's your middle name? Drop Harmig and use that if you prefer it.

I really don't like Harmig either,hence Mig.Makes me sound like a Russian jet.Unfortunately I have no middle name.By the by,my brother Les is married to Iris.
