A bit more art.

Nice. Thank you for sharing. I'm particularly fond of the foreground, the detail brings out the pooch.

another

Many thanks peeps!

That was the late Ben; our family pet who lived to around 18yrs! I guess that made him... 126. Not bad.

Here's another pastel drawing of me and my dad.

Beautiful! Sooo....does that mean you can paint with your feet too, monkeyartists?? ;)

Thank you for sharing...
*hugs*
Mae

Nice work!

I can't master pastels. I have a problem with textures.

Thanks for sharing. :)

Very nice, thanks for sharing with us.

What a cute little monkey you were! ;)

Thankyou guys.

Can anyone tell me how to resize images that I have on my computer? I tried to upload some more here but the files are too big. Do I need Photoshop or something?

Mae; I wish I COULD paint with my feet... always like to have my hands free in case something comes up. Ya know, door-bell or phone always rings when you have oil all over 'em;)

Cheers.

splashin' about

Hi Raindancer; I know what you mean, I found it difficult to get the hang of drawing with pastels. I still don't know what to use when I sit down to draw something. Sometimes I use pastel-pencils, other times oil/soft pastels. And then there's the paper of course. I can never remember which works best for what. I just have to start with something and see how it goes; often it fails miserably and I have to scrap it and try something else.

Cheers.

Kitten

My friend says this kitten looks like it's had an electric shock.

I hope you don't mind me posting these here.

Brushy.

Wonderful work

Brushstroke:

What beautiful portraits! I love animals and you have managed to capture the "alive" look of these creatures. Thanks so much for sharing them with us.:rose:

Wow!

Beautiful work.

I love your use of colors. The background does so much to bring out the subjects.

Thank you for sharing

:)

Just look at that ass girls!

Thanks Jenny and MissT'.

I cannot tell a lie; obviously, I'm thriving on all this good feedback.

As I said in an earliear thread, I'm hoping to open a shop doing pet portraits, from photographs,. The empty shop that I've got my eye on , is next to a vets' surgery. What better place to have a shop doing this: I thought.

Although, this was just an early pencil drawing.

What a great idea for you, brushstroke! Your drawings are amazingly beautiful, and I wish you the best with your endeavors.

And finally...

Unfortunately, this isn't a very good copy of the pastel portrait of my dog Ricky, who sadly is also no longer with us.

I think he only barked a couple of times in his last few years.

Truly a gentle giant.

This is an oil painting that I did last year, as a Christmas gift to my brother.

I opened this thread thinking, 'if it's not porn, I'm not interested'. Then found myself looking at each and every one you posted. Great work, thanks for sharing. Sounds like a superb idea for a small business, best of luck.
