‘Art of the Deal’ author: If Trump had Kim Jong-un’s power he would be every bit as murderous

Addressing Trump’s comments that he wishes Americans revered him in the way he thinks North Koreans living in their totalitarian state revere Kim, Reid read from a Schwartz tweet stating Trump has a “severe personality disorder” that “reporters don’t know how to handle.”

“In Trump’s case, you cannot analyze his behaviors rationally because they’re not rational” he explained. “They’re a function of what’s going on, or what’s missing internally.”

With host Reid noting Trump’s praise for Kim and Russian President Vladimir Putin – with Schwartz noting the Russian leader has had journalists “murdered” — the author said he was willing to go to an extreme to describe the president’s state of mind.

“I believe he would be murdering as many enemies as Kim Jong-un does,” he stated. “That his lack of conscience and his sociopathy is so extreme — and inner sense of emptiness — what he has is a blend of paranoia, which I said in the tweet, and grandiosity and cruelty.”

Trump ‘literally holding children hostage’ for border wall

Washington Post columnist Karen Tumulty called him out in this on Saturday afternoon saying that “Trump also lies as a strategy” and laying out how that’s working here.

“Trump is literally holding children hostage to get his unpopular border wall,” she writes. “He may think of it as leverage, but the rest of us should recognize it for what it is. It is a tragedy, born of a lie. He may refuse to take responsibility for what he has done, but that doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t see a lie for what it is, no matter how often he tells it.”

So Don is guilty of kidnapping, extortion and general assholeishness! String 'em up!

So how does it feel living in the current village-idiot of the world stage?
Even UKIP thinks Trump is going too far.

Trump aide Stephen Miller brags about policy ripping immigrant kids away from parents: ‘It was a simple decision’

Controversial White House asshole Stephen Miller bragged about President Donald Trump’s new policy of child separation as a “simple decision” during a West Wing interview with The New York Times.

“No nation can have the policy that whole classes of people are immune from immigration law or enforcement,” Miller told The Times.

“It was a simple decision by the administration to have a zero tolerance policy for illegal entry, period,” he claimed. “The message is that no one is exempt from immigration law.”

In May, New York Times editorial board member Mara Gay identified Miller as the leader of a White House faction intentionally inflicting harm.

“Let’s be clear, though, immigration has been an issue, a difficult one, a thorny one for the administration, but some of the stuff we’re seeing, the cruelty, is intentional,” Gay argued. “You know, this is a ‘Stephen Miller faction.’ That’s what’s happening.”

Sen. Jeff Merkley (D-OR) reached a similar conclusion.

“This is not a zero tolerance policy, this is a zero humanity policy, and we can’t let it go on,” Merkley suggested. “Ripping children out of their parents’ arms to inflict harm on the child to influence the parents is unacceptable.”

I hope Bob is swinging a wide net and catches this asshole for a 20 year stretch.

How is this policy of state kidnapping not causing an outrage at the UN?
If literally any other country did this, especially a European one doing it to the economic migrants, we'd never hear the end of it.

Americans will only ‘sit up’ for Trump when he’s handcuffed and frog-marched out of the White House

resident Donald Trump on Friday added to the astronomic tally of his bizarre brainfarts by saying of North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un: “He speaks, and his people sit up at attention. I want my people to do the same.”

Politico’s interviewees are afraid that Trump is normalizing Stalinist tactics, using phrases like “enemy of the people.” And while that may be true of a small number of his acolytes, most Americans don’t like Trump or his ways and certainly are not going to fall into lockstep.

That is worth repeating. Sixty-one percent of Republicans have mixed feelings about or are out-and-out mortified by Trump’s conduct as president.

And here is the percentage that disapproves of Trump on key issues:

Have no confidence in his immigration policy: 55 percent
Think poorly of his ability to handle an international crisis: 54 percent
Think poorly of his ability to work with Congress: 54 percent

(Remember, he has a Republican Congress!)

But it is particularly absurd to think that the 9.5 percent who are knee-jerk supporters of Trump can impose themselves on the rest of us. Trump is a walking Titanic, and the only thing Americans will sit up for in his regard is the day he is handcuffed and frog-marched out of the White House to share a jail cell with his good buddy and former campaign chairman, Paul Manafort.

:D

Ann Has Had ENOUGH!

‘We need to disband the entire Republican Party’: Ann Coulter flattens her own party

Conservative long-time Republican commentator Ann Coulter made a dramatic turn when she decided President Donald Trump wasn’t keeping his promises on immigration. Now, Coulter is turning against the GOP entirely.

During a panel discussion on Fox News’ Steve Hilton Sunday show, Coulter and former Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-UT) both decided they were done with the Republican Party.

“You see that with the left and the elite conservatives in the Republican Party that don’t want an honest dialogue about the successes of this president,” said Chaffetz. “Instead of joining together and moving forward with specific goals to restore getting wins in the midterms, they are being disruptive in a haphazard way. ”

Coulter took her disdain to a deeper level.

“I completely agree with you that we need to disband the official Republican Party. That was the point you were making and I completely agree. I’m sorry Representative,” Coulter said, turning to Chaffetz.

From the Party of Lincoln to the Party of lickspittle!

Laura Bush goes off on Trump for ‘cruel’ and ‘immoral’ policies of ripping migrant children from their families

Former First Lady Laura Bush is normally very quiet on policy. She was content at the White House fighting for literacy and libraries. However, Sunday, she released an op-ed in The Washington Post blasting President Donald Trump for separating migrant families on the border.

“I live in a border state,” Mrs. Bush wrote. “I appreciate the need to enforce and protect our international boundaries, but this zero-tolerance policy is cruel. It is immoral. And it breaks my heart.”

She then noted the detention facilities were “eerily reminiscent’ of the Japanese internment camps the U.S. built after Japan attacked Pearl Harbor during World War II.

“Americans pride ourselves on being a moral nation,” she continued. “If we are truly that country, then it is our obligation to reunite these detained children with their parents — and to stop separating parents and children in the first place.”

When do well declare the Republican Party Dead and recognize we now have a Oligarchy in charge of our Corptocracy?

Sessions’ own religion is denouncing his actions and implying he’s not following Christ the way they taught him.

It’s not just the Methodists. Even the Southern Baptist Convention, currently under fire because its leaders have ignored serious matters involving sexual abuse, passed a resolution last week calling for families to remain together in this whole mess:

Also slamming Sessions? The head of Trump’s Evangelical Advisory Board, Johnnie Moore:

Michelle Boorstein

@mboorstein
Spokesman of Trump’s informal evangelical advisory board ⁦@JohnnieM⁩ “While Sessions may take the Bible seriously, in this situation he has demonstrated he is no theologian.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-in-defense-of-separating-immigrant-families/

Are these alligator tears, from the religious groups that support Trump ? They have what they wanted. Health clinics are closed, abortions are hard to arrange. Birth control is difficult to obtain if you are poor. Taxpayer money is pouring into religious organizations. Money is flowing freely throughout the Republican political system. Religious communities have more advantages, than ever. Their wealthy patrons are able to give more, now that Trump gave everything to the 1%, and the very wealthy Trump supporters. Trump and his supporters are rolling back protections and provisions for LGBT.

No one, but the self blinded, can deny that Trump has taken hostages. What Trump has allowed to happen damages the image of religious institutions that support him.

They protested the scandal and abuse of women, at one point, too...

Trump orders creation of a sixth branch of the military: The Space Force

And the Generals were ecstatic! More General slots open up! No mention of how much it will add to the Defense budget!

U.S. President Donald Trump on Monday said he was ordering the establishment of a sixth branch of the military to clear the way for American dominance of space.

“It is not enough to merely have an American presence in space. We must have American dominance in space,” Trump said before a meeting of his National Space Council.

“We are going to have the Air Force and we’re going to have the ‘Space Force.’ Separate but equal. It is going to be something. So important,” he said later.

The United States, however, is a member of the Outer Space Treaty, which bars the stationing of weapons of mass destruction in space and only allows for the use of the moon and other celestial bodies for peaceful purposes.

Well I guess Trump Tower Luna could be peaceful?:)

I suppose when he figures out that he can't have dominance over space, he will withdraw us from that also. It will be interesting to see how that goes over. Does that mean less money for the soldiers? Will Congress agree to fund that? Hard to picture them doing that. He could get rid of the Coast Guard since he doesn't think they are part of the military anyway. Of course that would let a lot of illegal immigrants and drugs enter the country. So it will be interesting to see how he funds his new illegal idea. :)

Homeland Security Sec. Kirstjen Nielsen Google biography and Wikipedia edited to describe her as ‘notorious child abuser’

The internet unleashed on Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen during her press conference, with tweets attacking her personally and fact-checking inaccurate claims. However, one person took it a step further.

As of 6:11 p.m. EDT, Nielsen’s Google biography and Wikipedia link describes her her as a “a notorious child abuser currently serving as the United States Secretary of Homeland Security.”

Sad thing , it's true, She is "Just Following Orders" like a good little Nazi.

‘The president will pay’: Ex-CIA officer Phil Mudd blasts Trump for ‘hiding behind the law’ over migrant children policy

“The fact that we’re hiding behind the law stinks. This is the history of the American Republic. They told us things like an American woman can’t vote. That was the law,”

Mudd continued. “It told us the Japanese can go into an internment camp. That’s the law. It told us that at the beginning of this Constitution that a black man was less than a white man. We hide behind the law. The president can issue an executive order saying this is wrong, instead we say it’s the law. The law holds us back. It held us back before and we paid. Kirstjen Nielsen and the president will pay.”

Michael Hayden attacks Trump over immigrant children and compares it to Nazi concentration camps

“I showed the picture in 1944, but my story is Berlin 1933. You had a new government in power with a cult of personality, a cult of nativism, a cult of untruth, a cult where it was acceptable to punish the marginalized segments of society. I’m not saying our needle is in the red. I’m not saying we’re becoming nazis. What I was trying to say was the needle is moving in the wrong direction. I’m saying the skies are darkening.”

One might say, Stormy Weather?:)

Wall Street tumbles, Dow erases 2018 gains as trade worries worsen

U.S. stocks slumped and the Dow Jones Industrial Average erased its gains for the year on Tuesday, as a sharp escalation in U.S.-China trade dispute jolted the markets and triggered a rush to safer assets.

President Donald Trump, in an unexpectedly swift and sharp move, threatened to impose a 10 percent tariff on $200 billion of Chinese goods and Beijing warned it would retaliate.

Looks like the Trade War is On!

I think this space force thing is the best move Trump has yet made.

Ultimately, likely in the very near future, space and its enormous resources will be hotly contested just like the European powers raced to the New World and ultimately whoever dominates Earth's orbit and.the inner solar system dominates Earth itself in much the same way that whoever dominates the skies in war also dominates the ground. And that country will definitely greatly shape the foreseeable future of humanity.

A dedicated space borne military is going to be the most powerful force in play in whatever future conflicts or inter-planetary cold wars erupt and really its either going to be China or the US who takes the role of hegemon of space. The US isn't exactly known for using its power responsibly but the alternative is almost unthinkable.

Trump's spaceforce won't go anywhere, but we definitely need to be seriously considering the creation of such a military these days and it unfortunately must be the US who gets the head start.

Fox News gets caught flat-footed after Trump caves on separating families: ‘This issue is a huge, huge loser’

Fox News White House correspondent John Robert asserted on Wednesday that President Donald Trump will end his “zero tolerance” policy of separating immigrant families because he had lost the battle for the draconian practice.

Outnumbered host Dagen McDowell asked Roberts what made the president change his mind on the policy.

“Clearly the president wants to be the the law and order president,” Roberts explained. “But this issue is rapidly becoming a huge, huge loser for the White House, for the Department of Homeland Security, for Customs and Border Projection, ICE — everyone who is involved in enforcing laws along the border.”

“This is becoming very real for the administration in terms of the blowback,” he added. “You’ve got a number of very prominent Republicans saying this is unacceptable and needs to change. And I think this president is really beginning to feel the heat.”

The worm turns: Michael Cohen is ‘willing to give’ up information on Trump, friend says

CNN reported on Wednesday that attorney Michael Cohen is “willing to give information” on his former client, President Donald Trump.

CNN host Wolf Blitzer said on Wednesday that a source close to Cohen had confirmed that the president’s former personal attorney is willing to talk to prosecutors about Trump under the right circumstances. Cohen has reportedly told friends that he expects to be charged for bank fraud and other crimes related to his relationship with Trump.

The president’s former lawyer also blasted Trump’s policy of separating families who cross the U.S.-Mexico border illegally.

“As the son of a Polish holocaust survivor, the images and sounds of this family separation policy is heart wrenching,” Cohen said in his resignation letter to the RNC. “While I strongly support measures that will secure our porous borders, children should never be used as bargaining chips.”

Oh, Mike, those lawyer bills are high!

We'll see what he actually does and how he'll spin it. Since they have no plan to return the children to their families and they are already well into the separation practice, the fan will still be blowing the shit that Trump himself created.

Cf. USAF Space Command. USMC is part of US Navy. A USSC would parallel that.

A new branch will need a new training institution. Where will US Starfleet Academy be built? (Probably not San Francisco.) Who gets the cost-plus construction contracts? Will forthcoming private-enterprise space catapults be nationalized?

Firms running the detention centers are well-paid. One just got a nearly-half-billion-bucks payout. This shit ain't cheap now and won't get cheaper.

Well we can get it started off by declaring that Mexico will pay for it--"believe me."

I don't have any answers to those questions but it is inevitable that at some point one of the major powers on Earth is going to extend their reach into orbit and subsequently monopolize access to space and its many Earths-worths of readily available resources. Unless the EU starts making headway in that area, would you rather the major power in question be the US or China?

I don't see why we should be making light of this. Possibly the #1 reason behind the success of the British empire was that the British held exclusive access to the riches of Asia for 100 years straight thanks to unrivalled naval power and the destruction of any serious competition thanks to their vastly superior navy in the Napoleonic wars. In the latter half of this century and into the next we may see much the same thing played out between Earth states over the inner planets & asteroid belt rather than Asia & the Americas.
Tourism and asteroid mining, of course.
Trump probably thinks he can add the space habitats onto Mexico's tab.

Maybe we ought to divide the Air Force up and transfer all their terrestrial assets to the Army and the Aerospace parts to the Space Patrol!

Space Force seems a little too blatant, after all, we are the peace makers, aren't we?
