5 police officers may be fired over illegal Stormy Daniels arrest

One year ago, Stormy Daniels was arrested at a Columbus, Ohio strip club for "violating" a nebulous rule about not touching patrons. The charges were dropped because the law says you have to be a regular performer. Ms. Daniels was making a guest appearance and thus did not fall under the law.

Now comes word the five officers involved face disciplinary action, up to and including firing. In addition, Ms. Daniels has filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against the officers.

The lawsuit alleges that the officers targeted her because they were "avowed supporters" of President Donald Trump and believed Daniels was "damaging President Trump and they thereafter entered into a conspiracy to arrest her during her performance in Columbus in retaliation for the public statements she had made" about Trump.

Daniels is claiming false arrest, malicious prosecution, conspiracy to violate the Fourth and 14th amendments and abuses of process violating Ohio law. An amended complaint in June added the city as a defendant, claiming Columbus violated Daniels' constitutional rights.​

The Columbus PD's vice squad was eliminated earlier this year because it was such a mess. Even worse than the Daniels thing was the case of a vice detective who killed a prostitute — he claimed self-defense, but it appears he demanded sex in exchange for leniency and got mad when she fought back.

Anyway, none of this should detract from the fact that Trump paid hush money to cover up an affair and then repeatedly lied about it.
