My age is finally higher than my bust size!:D

Next year will be the BIG 50! It's a number that I couldn't imagine way back in my school days, and now it doesn't really seem that scary! My life really became "my life" after turning 40, and I can't help agreeing with those who say women get better with age.

Is anyone out there approaching a "dreaded" milestone year?

Ahhhh, you're still a puppy at 30. :D

A puppy? I hope so. Yikes,I would like to think it wont hurt to hit the big 30,but the horror stories I am getting from so called "friends" is making me very nervous. ;)

30 Was somewhat truamatic, but as with everything I just threw up and got over it. I actually think that I am better off now at 35 than I was 5 years ago, so dont fret it.
;)

Happy, Happy Birthday, Jenny!

I laughed so hard when I read that. I hear you and feel the exact same way. I can remember when I turned 40....it's an age that really had an impact upon me. Although, now that I'm over that age and have moved on by a couple of years, I'm finding that I have much more to offer, much more I want to express and feel. I don't know about you, Jenny, but there are so many things I want to do that I have missed the pleasure of doing in my life. To act upon those things is my new adventure - it's like my new beginning.

Oh my gosh, I didn't mean for this to be a thesis on the benefits of aging. lol

Have a wonderful birthday, Jenny, you are such a sweet person and I admire your strength. Your dreams and wishes will always lead you through your journey of life.

Enjoy!

First, thank you all for your appreciated birthday wishes!

Of all the "milestones" I've had, 30 was the toughest for me! I dreaded the day, and the number, but a decade later began the best "season" of my life! So to all those who have yet to reach it, hang in there! It does get better!:)

"Throw up and get over it" ... so true in many ways!:D

Great thread, Jenny

I will turn 30 in 6 months,I am so dreading it.....sigh......
ltr, don't sweat it, just look forward to turning 40 - women in their 40s can have it all, and most of them enjoy life a great deal.

Now, in 6 months when you turn 30, go easy on the flaming drinks and/or anything with more than one kind of liquor and you'll be just fine.

30

I turned 30 in October, amidst a myriad of other changes, it has completely freaked me out......I think I'm having my mid-life crisis early.....

I have a theory I think 30 for women, is like 50 for men......

it's thrown me for the proverbial loop,

perks

Age is simply just a number in my eyes.
I am loving my twenties and enjoying every moment.
I don't think I will be freaking out when I am the big 30 !
Well let's hope I don't freak out. :)

What I wonder is when will I be " grown up ". I am still the same way I was back in my early 20's ... personality wise ... etc.

My friends and I wonder when we will act our " age". :p

First let me say "Happy Birthday". I turned 50 a few years ago and have to say this is the best time of my life. I had a bad time with turning 40, but finally realized I was making myself crazy and let it go. Age is just a number, you have to have fun and enjoy life, then age does not matter. I have had people tell me that I look younger now, then I did 10 or 15 years ago. (and no, I have not had any cosmetic surgery)

I have not grown up YET! I still don't know what I want to be when I "grow up", and I have never, nor do I expect to ever, act my age! (My mother isn't too thrilled about this, but, dang, she's in her 70s!):D

Age is definitely a state of mind. paying attention to the state of one's body is important, but your spiritual age (so to speak) is where true eternal youth can be found!

By the way . . .

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNY!

Approaching 47..so I guess 50 is 'looming' near. I've always thought that being a half a century old would be somewhat deppressing, or at least give me pause to reflect. Now that I'm on the doorstep I really can't say I feel one way or the other.

It's all in how you feel...I still have a lot of kid in me, sometimes almost immature..much to the chagrine of some of my peers. My grandad had two 'gal pals' when he was well in his seventies. My mother-in-law is in her eighties and you wouldn't put her a day over 50...

It's what you make it...and how you choose to percieve it.

LONG LIVE PETER PAN !!
