My mom just got a letter from 47 republicans reminding her that when Obama leaves she's going to get her Social Security payments cut.

That has never happened and never will happen unless the system completely collapses.

:sorry:

Like when Baby Bush tried to get rid of it? Also, it's one of David Koch's wishes, and his republican whores will do anything he wants them to do.

Koch brothers

Changing the subject won't change the fact that republicans will go after Social Security.

President Bush proposed a nefarious plan to let those who wanted to take 1% of their SS contribution and put it into a plan of their own choosing.

Oh the fucking horror!

You would have been able to keep 100% of your SS IOUs in Washington DC. You would have been perfectly safe...

Yes, AJ, the brave fighter for everybody's social security. Next time he'll fight for Obamacare.

I've taken care of my own retirement.

I did not need the government to steal from me. Now President Clinton had a grand plan where he was going to tax, one time, all of our retirement plans in order to make sure that our fellow citizen-grasshoppers be more secure in their retirement.

I think he was a Democrat.

I don't get the bad thing about it. They just take your selfish ass into responsibility. I like it.

I really think something got lost in the translation here...

Who is more selfish? The person who takes benefits or the person who accrues and invests the Capital that drives the Wealth of a Nation?

If I cannot first help myself, how can I help someone else?

If you tell me you don't take any benefits from the states, you're rather blind, ignorant or simply selfish. If you accrue and invest the capital that drives the wealth of your nation, then what's your problem with the tax ? It's nothing else.

A tax on my retirement account? The one that I already paid taxes on to put it in or will be paying taxes on when I take out? For my responsibility, I get an additional tax so the politician can bribe the irresponsible for their loyal vote?

Really?

Why don't you elucidate the benefits that I am taking from the State. This should be very interesting because I am not all that familiar with the concept of "hidden benefits."

You hooked up with someone that has a job. Well done!

In fairness to Chief Lee Obese, he DOES have a retirement account...
Blast from teh past....AJ's Legendary Retirement Portfolio!!
AJ's portfolio is quite diverse:
