I have this really hot 3rd cousin, we are great friends really close to one another. Well we always flirt arround, such as tickling eachother, making sexual cooments about eacother such as what we are going to do to them. Well anyway I know she wants to fool arround but she thinks 3rd cousins are too close, I howeer dont. MAybe its cause Im a horny guy who knows? Oh well!

Come and listen to my story 'boout a man named Jed
poor mountaineer barely kept his family fed.
Then one day he was shooting at some food,
and up through the ground came a bubbling crude.

<Rolling eyes and sighing deeply...>

Here we go again! lol Hell, any 3rd cousins that I know of are in their 60s or older, so that thought just makes me scared and sick! lol

As third cousins, you share great-great-grandparents. On average, third cousins have 1/16th of their DNA in common. That's not a lot. Even if you were to have children together, the chance of their having birth defects is hardly greater than for any two non-related people. Recognizing this, the marriage would be legal in all 50 states. And besides, you just mentioned fooling around, not making babies.

The other reason to avoid sex with a relative is to avoid complicating family relations. If you grew up in the same household, for instance, it would be somewhat like sibling incest. Potentially difficult for physchological reasons. That's not the case, is it?

I say go for it. Tell her I said so.

I like what the fella said about complicating family emotions... it is worth it, my man? Even if you aren't making babies.. is it worth it?

And I would like to second what easy said about the genetic end. Even with a first cousin, the risk of a genetic defect is practically nil (if this continues over generations it does become a risk- as the former royalty of Europe found out).

Story 'bout a man named Jed... heh

In a situation like this there is one important question you must ask yourself:

Does she give good head?

My Grandparents were first cousins, once removed. Meaning my Grandmother was the daughter of her husband's first cousin. And look how well I turned out!

I just can't seem to grasp the concept of second, third, etc. cousins, or cousins once or twice removed... My feeble brain gets all muddled when I try to figure it out beyond plain and simple first cousins.

I agree that there's no reason not to go for your third cousin, unless it would upset and cause problems with other family members.
