It's amazing to me that someone could spend that kind of money on a vulgar luxury item while other Americans are spending another night sleeping in their own shit.

Feel free to impoverish yourself by giving all you have for hurricane relief if it makes you feel better.
Every night that you have been alive, some American somewhere has been sleeping in their own shit. Tonight that number is higher than normal. Deal with it in any way you want.

Marxist can't see this since he's gotten rid of his internet connection, given his computer to the local Red Cross (It's AB-), and is eating bugs and roots gathered in the back yard.
*snicker* Those poor bugs...

DVR is a TiVo-like device with a hard drive instead of tape.
Confession time- we called the cable company back and ordered the DVR. It does stuff our dvd/vcr can't do.

Yeah. the picture quality is superior to tape, we can pause a live program or rewind & replay a live program, we can tape two shows at once , & above all, t's easier to operate than a vcr.

Now you can take your time in the bathroom and still not miss a thing.

Or eat a leisurely dinner out and come home to watch "Lost" when we feel like it. :)
