3 wishes

ABS, do you know the Swedish word for "deathwish"???:catroar:

You know I love you more than words can ever say!!!

is that a good ass kiss or not?

Mmmmm... a little more to the left... yeah, that's it! Mmmmm.

The first ass kissing of the day is always the sweetest.;)

1. Peace through out the world

2. Food for everyone in the world

3. A new president

1. Health and happiness for my family.

(this is where I get a little eccentric)

2. The ability to travel in time to actually watch history unfold. I want to see things like the pyramids being built, dinosaurs walking around. See people like Lincoln, William Wallace, Tolkien, and many others.

3. Knowledge: The answers to all the unanswerable questions. Is there a God? Are we alone in the universe? How did we get here?

Yes, no and the universe was made that way from the start (so that life would take hold where it could).

For my three wishes:

1. I wish that all those I honestly say I love would be blessed with health all their lives.

2. Good health for myself (had my share of bad health already).

3. Enough money, but not too much; half a million would be plenty for the rest of our lives.

My first wish would be to wish for an unlimited amount wishes.

If the genie in the lamp said I couldn't do that then my first wish would be to wish that I could wish for unlimited wishes and my second wish would be to wish for an unlimited amount of wishes.

If the genie said that still was against the rules then my first wish would be to wish that it wasn't against the rules to be against the rules, then my second wish would be to wish that I would be able to wish for unlimited wishes and my third wish would be to wish for an unlimited amount of wishes.

If the genie said I still was not allowed to do that, well my first wish would be to wish for a lamp that had a genie that would grant me an unlimited amount of wishes...

I'd wear the genie down eventually and get my wishes, either that or end up getting myself turned into a frog. :p

Your answer had me rolling on the floor man :) I'd thought of similiar answers before, but nothing so involved, and elaborate. Awesome. I was surprised noone else had commented on it already :p

My own wishes. Hmm.. I've never really been a man that material possessions matter to that much.. so it is hard to think of wishes very easily.. (you should see how hard it is for people to buy me presents :p) But I think mine would, all three of them, be towards improving the entire world, so that I would be more content living.. either that or immortality/invulnerability.. so that I know that at least one day I could make a fricken difference around this place (meaning earth, not Lit :p)

If the wishes were strictly for me, I'd wish for health, wealth and happiness. If I could only use them for others, then it would be Ending Starvation, Clearing up the ozone layer and getting rid of all nuclear weapons.

1) I wish for each generation of children to grow up in a better universe than the one that their parents grew up in, now and forever.

2) I wish that when I die I will look back and truthfully say that myself and my loved ones had health, happiness and comfort with plenty of time to enjoy it.

) I wish for the ability to fulfill my desires and the wisdom to know when to use it.

Being utterly selfish w/o regard for the rest of humanity:

1. to live and die in Venice

2. to write in Venice

3. to be able, anytime, to visit or be visited by family and a few good friends

Perdita

1> to keep my looks
2>to be immortal
3>have the powers to teleport
<nods> but i would want a genie like i dream of jeanie.

  1. A penthouse apartment on 5th ave. in Manhattan, a luxurious flat in London (Chelsea), and what the hell, a palacio on the Grand Canal.
  2. To be rich enough so I'd be firmly and permanently among the leisure class, able to devote my full efforts toward living la vie boheme.
  3. to have astounding success as a writer, film maker, and banger of Ivy League educated secular Jewish chicks, among others.
    [/list=1]

1.) A girlfriend
2.) A job in the movie-industry
3.) A Pepsi, :)

Thanks! Glad somebody enjoyed it :) I figure how many times in life are you going to be offered 3 wishes? Got to take advantage of them when you can :D

You should be careful with the wording of that "To live and die in Venice" one.. thats a dangerous wish.. Some genies are quite literal you know..

"*poof* There, you are living in Venice *poof* There, now you died in Venice"

Whoa.. too much D&D during my teenage years.. ack.. heh

resurrecting this thread in desperation

I have been trying to type up a set of minutes for the last week (despite the fact I have been on a week's leave).

Wish 1. That someone would do the damn minutes for me.

Wish 2. That I never ever, ever, ever, have to sit through another meeting and take another set of minutes.

Wish 3. Hmmmmmmmmmm, you know right now, I can't actually think of anything I want as much as those damn minutes to be out of my space !!!!

1) That honor would be accepted as it used to be.
2) That people would live by a code of honor.
3) That my wife would be able to live better than she has with me when I died with honor.

Okay, so one and two are wishes, but I am trying to set things up so my wife will be able to live without having to work if I suddenly die.
I live by a code of honor instilled in me by my parents, so it's old fashioned but it works for me. I would gladly lay down my life for my family, my country, and myself, in that order. (Yes I am old fashioned in some ways, I still open doors for women, and help them across the street, not to mention giving them my seat on a bus or other public conveince. I also belive in the honor of helping people.) This is something I have found lacking in most people.
Most people I have met lately have no concept of honor, or the concept of helping others. Their main idea is me before all others. I can't understand that, and don't accept that. So I'm old fashioned. Oh well.

There's nothing wrong with being old-fashioned in some ways....Too few people these days have any manners at all.

I wish...

1) That miles could be traversed in an instant.

2) To look back on my life at the end and know I made people's lives better.

3) That I could, at least once, look into someone's eyes and see the reflection of my soul.

Truly eloquent, Lucky.
Echoed fervently by myself, and I suspect, most of us.

1: That I could go back in time and prevent my late wife from taking that "simple drive to the store."

2: Enough time and money to do the research that I have always wanted to do.

3: That I had the last 4 years of my life back to do over. (With the knowledge that I have now)

The serenity to accept all that I can,
The courage to change the things I cannot accept,
And the wisdom to always count my change.
