I like your rainbow naner.

Okay, 3 things:

1. I eat sausage dipped in syrup, and like it.

2. My superstitions story is about 1/3 of the way finished (yay!)

3. I'm disappointed that the first Olympics story hasn't posted yet. :(

Thanks:

1. Well, when I was younger and we would go to McDonald's and have breakfast, the sausage always got syrup on it - and it takes damn good! (I like that as well...love the smell of syrup - makes me smile!)

2. Good luck with the story - I am hoping to get another story submitted tomorrow -- it's a panty fetish story - some guy ask that I write it for him. I wrote it as a male! First time I have ever done that -- I hope it goes well.

3. I a m disappointed as well - does that effect allof the stories, or will Laurel realize that we all have certain dates we would like our stories posted.

I like the rainbow nanner too. :D

1. Is there any other way to eat sausage? (Does that sound just a little dirty to anyone else?

2. Good for you sweetie!

3. I'm sure it will be soon. Keep smiling! :D

You would be amazed at the people I gross out by eating it that way! We don't do the link sausage thing here - patty sausage all the way! And I won't eat it without syrup.

does sound vaguely depraved, doesn't it? But, in a delicious way!

I never knew people put sugar in grits until I was 18 and saw a girl doing it at university

I want some monkey bread

Maybe it's not a southern thing. I see people in New England do it all the time. They even sell Maple flavored sausages here.

Now the real question is, do you use real maple syurp or that fake maple 'flavored' syurp?

Chicken and waffels sounds good, I'll have to try it.

Grits = Mush... yuck. (can you tell I'm not from the south?)

What the hell is monkey bread?

I have to make do with the fake stuff most of the time. Real maple syrup is horrendously expensive here.

Grits are delicious! It's all in what you put in them....

I'm not from the south either but love soul food and country food
Monkey bread is home made biscuts with sausage cooked into it (at my house it's served with white sausage gravy. ;) It has nothing at all to do with monkeys

I should have had you for sunday dinner, which is to say I should have had you over for sunday dinner. I had chicken fried steak black eyed peas and okra and Macaroni and cheese (from scratch in the oven) I'm surprised I didn't have a heat attack at the table. :D Then I was going to have a piece of red velvet cake but somebody(Renza) ate my piece and around my house on sunday desserts go fast so when I went into the kitchen there was nary a crumb to be found.

Steak and gravy and the cornbread sounds great (I love good cornbread, put a little honey on it, mmmmm), but I'll still pass on the grits. ;)

That kind of food is really the only way I know how to cook. I can use a recipe just fine, but for grab-it-and-cook-it kinda meals, southern is the way to go.

My cholesterol is probably high as hell, but oh, well.

Pecan pie..........
