3 things about me

Just had to come out of hiding for this ridiculously long and absorbing thread!

1) I was a junior prom princess

2) When I was a kid I ate lemons off the tree and put salt on them

3) Had an affair with one of my college English professors

4) Can touch my tongue to my nose

5) I love little league baseball

(oops that's five)

Wow, I'd never heard of another person doing this. Even as an adult I loved to eat lemons with salt. Now I have a craving. O, but I hated the way it made my teeth feel afterwards. P.

Hello.

1. I am tall, and skinny, pretty to some and homely to others.

2. I drive some men insane, and others ignore me.

3. I can say no, but almost never will, I am always wanting.

That's got to be one of the best lists I've seen here so far.

1) My kids have now outgrown naptime and its absence is driving me up the wall.

2) I rarely post on any of the *serious* threads because I feel like people don't give a shit about what I have to say.

3) I've been here since October and I still don't feel like I belong.

1. - That's when it's time for playdates -- at someone else's home

2. - Me too, sometimes I feel as if I will be criticized for not knowing as much!

3. - Everyone belongs here -- we welcome everyone with open arms...some with open legs...but let's not talk about that just yet!

1. A certain someone here nagged me to send her some MP3 files recently. So I reainstalled ICQ to ship them over.

2. As a result of #1, I have now rediscovered the world of IM chatting, (if Raph reads this: yes, I still suck at it) Chatting to some Lit friends, found old friends, ex-enemies, ex-lovers (ok, make that ex-lover).

3. As a result of #2, I have barely slept or written anything in the last week.

But how much fun is Iming? Come on, I am sure some of them can make for some great stories!!!!

- I skipped one lecture today and sat in the library looking up books on topics which had not even the slightest relevance to my studies (but it was kind of fun and interesting as you can see in my sig)

- The classes I actually attended I spent writing a story for Lit :D. I hope to finish it soon and will post it.

- I thought about opening a thread called "Koyaanisqatsi - Life out of balance" and intended to spill that shit, which is my life in front of you ... but actually I am now feeling not that depressive, so I'll spare you for now, but I've already scribbled it down and its ready to post (And I know for sure, I'll be in mood sooner or later)

We had ICQ once, it filled the machine with so much adware and spyware it had to go. Shame cos there's some nice folks on there.

Can't have IM systems either, as soon as someone logs on there's a barrage of indiscrete message reminders, our 10 yr old (at the time) daughter was asking some very embarrassing questions about 'Hot Helgar' for me or 'Super Stud' for *L*. Daughter's 13 now and no way could we risk anything like that, she's bad enough with her own IM friends, micro tart.

Just make do with emails these days, you can say more in an email anyway.

Right ... but IM is way cheaper than Telephone. Dunno where that fits with your Email comment, but felt I should post it anyway ... :D

P.S: There are way to few smilies on this board ...

Email's cheapest of the lot word for word, you can wack off a pre written 10 page email in a few seconds free of charge, and add three of four pictures to it if you wish.:D That'll tell you what a load of crap I come out with in my emails, up to 10 pages:D :D

I love Iming....it is definately cheaper - and keeps you in touch with many people....unfortunately my boss has my email address and on days that I am off, he emails me....Oh, Okay, so I email him as well...just to say "Sucks being in work, doesn't it?"

LOL

- I met one of my best friends through ICQ, almost two years ago. We've seen each other through a few ups and downs. I helped bring him and his current girlfriend together - she moved from Taiwan to be with him. I'm in high hopes of being Chief Bridesmaid at their wedding. :D

- I prefer Yahoo, and cemented a very strong friendship through there. He lives in the States and it's looking likely that I'll finally get to meet him and his girlfriend when they take a trip to the UK later this year.

- I met my bestest mate through Lit. ;) Yep, Lit wins again. :D

I see where you are coming from. At the job, I quit recently I had to write lots of emails, some of them to my superior. Once I went to her office and she greeted me with the words "Ah ... my writing friend" ... I was like "huh, what did I do wrong this time" and she basically told me I could stop writing lenghty mails, as she wouldnt read them anyway... I dont know, they always want to be informed, but when you do it is too much ... Nah I quit that job anyway ...

Btw ... I discover more and more, that Music can be better than drugs (not that I tried them anyway) ... I keep hearing that spanish song "Malaguena Salerosa" from the Kill Bill Vol. 2 soundtrack over and over again. Sheesh ... it really lifts my mood ...

Nagged? Nagged? No wonder you don't get to lay any groupies. Sheesh.

3 more things:
  1. When I lived in Persia I ate so many oranges that it wore the enamel on my teeth thin, and I had to use Sensodyne toothpaste for years before it (I guess) built back up again.
  2. The only people in my IRL community that know what kind of stuff I write are in the healthcare profession. I think HIPAA forbids them from giving the info out to anyone else.
  3. I am apparently the only Publix customer in my neighborhood who has any use for mint flakes.

Well, you did. And rightly so, since I have a short term memo... Hey, who are you and what are we talking 'bout?

All the possible groupies here seems to live at least half a continent away (since Svenska is spoken for), so it seems I don't get to lay any anyway. Oh darn. ;)

It's not enough that you have groupies? We have to live near you, too? Lord, you artistes are picky! :D
