Yes. You know when you meet someone online and make a really strong connection? But there is the matter of many miles between you and a slim chance you'll ever meet? Then you send pictures and speak on the phone, slowly getting to know one another until you wonder if you could know one another any better without actually meeting face to face. And then you both get webcams and meet face to face.

Fun is not the word to describe the joy I felt when I saw her face the first time. I smiled so much for so long that my face actually hurt from it. It was one of the happiest nights I can remember having in a long time.

p.s. I would recommend investing in a webcam to anyone and everyone.

I always nice to actually see the person you are "chatting" with on-line. Even though it still makes you nervous, making sure you look just right for the person who is seeing you for the first time..even people who already know you, you want to make sure you look perfect!

1. I rarely venture outside of the poetry boards, but did so today on a whim. And I am posting in this cool thread for one reason: because I am enchanted with Perdita and I miss her on the poetry boards.

2. I moved 22 times before I graduated from high school at 17. I lived in 4 countries, speak 2 languages, went to 13 schools (not counting college and grad school), and my father is NOT in the military.

3. I read all of Shakespeare's works before I turned 13 and remain a fanatic.

4. I love single malt scotch, men, sex, reading, my sons, my husband, and cheese. Not necessarily in that order.

5. I studied mathematics in grad school and I know there's a number system out there where 5=3. If not, I'll make one.
