I order to avoid burn out and a creativity block, one of the things I've thought of doing is to start uploading a 2nd story I was working on (but got stuck on too). I thought of uploading it here because I still love this story.

Anyway, here's the background and plot for the story. Tell me if you think this will be interesting enough to read?

Background

In the world of Incienda, there are 7 stones, 1 belonging to each kingdom. Each kingdom has their own beliefs based upon their stone. Ages ago when the stones were created, a piece of them was broken off by the founders of the 7 kingdoms and these fragments were left to the founders’ descendants who became the royal family of each kingdom. The founders hid the stones themselves in secret areas at the time.

Plot

Every year the 7 kingdoms hold a festival. It changes to a different kingdom every year. All are invited to the 7-day festival that ends with a masquerade ball on the last day. This year it’s in the kingdom of the Red Stone, Jasper, called Mulada. During the festival the Fragments are put on display, but are heavily guarded. On the night of the ball, the fragments react to each other and cause an earthquake. The royal families ask the legendary mage of their world, Andun, what just happened and he tells them that the fragments must be reunited with the stones again for the world’s energy is unstable and in order for there to be harmony the stones must be whole again. And the fragments will choose the only ones who can find the stones. The fragments end up choosing 7 young ladies. Andun tells them that they can only bring one companion and the each royal family sends one of their sons on the quest. Each fragment gives each girl certain ability. Will they find the stones in time?

So what do you think? There will be no sex in this story however since I felt it didn't fit into this kind of story. All main chars are at least 18 though.

I am bumping this up since it seems we have a spammer in the forums.

You've got a very good story idea here, even though there's no sex.
Can all the women be from poor families or homeless? One woman could be saved from being executed for stealing food, because she was starving. The fragment saves her just before the executioner chops her head off. The executioner is the lord that accompanies her on the journey.
Are you going to at least add romance?

I've already come up with all main characters, locations, and 7 stones. Oh there will be romance. I just wanted to make sure each couple's journey is different though from a "Love at first sight" type to the start as friends but become more.

I also have found a new editor too so that's a relief. This story was actually inspired by the Hindu concept of 7 chakra points and stones connected to them. I am huge fan of Eastern cultures so it was fun coming up with the backdrop of this tale.
