I am right there with you on the first one. I wish I were with you on the second, but I can never keep enough of it around.
I currently have a bit less than 13000 songs in my iTunes library (12894, just checked). Scarily enough, probably only 80-85% downloaded or copied from friends. I've put an absurd amount of money into CD's over the years. viv bought me a 250CD case recently. I was able to fit most of the CD's that are sitting out on the shelf for regular listening. I still have a couple of boxes full, as well as the stuff that is on my desk or near it, and the discs that reside in the car. And it didn't even touch her music.
I have a lot of music. And that's not counting tapes and vinyl. Interestingly, I've had offers of a terrabyte's more from a friend. I don't have the storage space for that, sheesh, and I can' timagine that I would find enough listenable music on there to make it worthwhile. There comes a point where you have music just to say that you have it. I may have 13k tracks in iTunes, but I actually like each and every one of them, and regularly scan here and there for songs I don't like, or versions that aren't substantively different enough to make them stand out.

1) I've played the flute since I was 9.

Ham, cheese, mayo, little mustard, lettuce, and sometimes tomato and I'm happy.
I use Bigelow Organic Green Tea 150 tea bags and my trusty electric kettle.
I used to DJ so a lot of my music is from having to DJ weddings, bars, school dances. I don't listen to most but keep it around just in case I need to re-burn CD's or if a song messes up.
I can say I have a very eclectic mix of music and have been opened up to a variety of music I would never listen to normally. Well, my heart is all a-flutter at being tagged by no less than Netz, and in the same company as JM, Yanks and AA.
I will tag ITW, Marquis, Chauderlos and Twisted73.
- I am a citizen of two countries, and eligible for citizenship in a 3rd.
- I am fluent in exactly one language. I pretend to be fluent in two others.
- I am terrified of heights. Especially rising, curving on/off ramps.
- I do not like bugs or spiders inside my habitat.
- I would make a really lousy full-time submissive.
- Spinach is my very favorite green vegetable. Actually, it might even be my favorite food of all.
- As of today, I own five sewing machines. You would think I might sew.
- I used to be an artist. Now I pretend that I am while I earn money elsewhere.
- I have smoked pot. More than once.

1. I was The Best Littlest Mermaid of 1989 in The Coney Island Mermaid Parade. I wasn't even 1 year old yet.

2 I spent grade 2 in Boston (other than that I haven't lived in the US).
3 During a telephone call, I once told my grandmother that I missed her. She proceeded to take the bus from her house, and walk a couple of miles to get to me. Talk about feeling loved.
4 When my parents insisted I had to continue my music lessons (I took piano and was awful because I didn't practice), we compromised and I took music theory.
5 In high school, I often had at least 3 books on the go at the same time.
6 In high school, I read most of D.H. Lawrence's books...wrote a paper on him...and loved his attitude about sex.
7 When I was younger I wanted to be a lawyer and learn how to fly. Didn't do either.
8 I had a calcium deficiency, causing the ends of my spine to stay soft, so I couldn't take Phys. Ed. in high school for a couple of years.
9 My first sexual experience was with a friend of my brother's that I had a crush on. It was good...very good.
10 I wrote for the university newspaper.
11 I've never tried pot. Not because I was being good but because I always knew I wanted to have children and 'they' couldn't prove that taking pot wouldn't cause damage.

1. I first discovered Lit when I was 14 ... Oh, I was so bad ...
2. I'm allergic to cats ... My throat starts closing whenever I'm in the same room with one, and if one scratches me I get hives all over.
