Since christmas two of my classmates from high school announced (seperate) engagements. One was my best pal.

Then my little sister announced to us that she is now engaged. My little sister.

Triple whammy. And I've only ever been in one relationship that was serious enough to introduce her to my family.

Everyone is in such a damn rush. It's not like the good ol' days you know. When beer was a pound a pint and you could leave your back door unlocked, because noone could get past the 2 meter fence...

You think THAT makes you feel old, try being 23, with 3 kids, and a 4 year marriage. Looking at my nearly 6 year old daughter... now THAT makes me feel old. DAMN old!

And your saying what? That it's not a weird feeling?

I tried to think up a funnier title, but that was the best I could do. Glad it got a laugh:)

No, we're saying that different things make all of us feel old and ~gasp~ we're all getting older.

Things that make you feel old at 21 won't faze you in 2, 5, or 10 years.

Don't judge your "oldness" based on what others do, but on how much you've lived and you can be a very old 100 someday.

(or 20 or 30 or 50)

I can remember sitting on a firebase around 10:00 PM on my 21st birthday, toking on a joint and taking a pull at a bottle of JW Dant whiskey, an occasional burst from a machine gun rattling through the dark, feeling way too fucking old for my 21 year old skin. I know how it is to be young, but feel so damned old. But I also know what you have in front of you, and how good it can be if you want it to be. Enjoy life, embrace it, squeeze it for all your worth. You only get one time through, so enjoy it while you can. As the Song says,"Don't worry be happy."
