2016, the year in review

Dave Barry writes: "This was the Al Yankovic of years. If years were movies, 2016 would be 'Plan 9 from Outer Space.' If years were relatives, 2016 would be the uncle who shows up at your Thanksgiving dinner wearing his underpants on the outside."

So how was YOUR year?

Ours was positive, as nobody close to us died. Well, my sister's ex, but he was no loss. Ours was negative, as our new housecar spent more time in the shop than on the road. But no trees fell on us. That may change tonight but it's a new year now. If 2016 was 'Plan 9 from Outer Space', will 2017 be 'Danger Mouse'?

Besides the year sucking in general for mankind, I had two major life events happen in the last two weeks of the year that will shape mi vida loca for years to come.

Besides the year sucking in general for mankind, I had two major life events happen in the last two weeks of the year that will shape mi vida loca for years to come.

I hope they were good events and positive changes will ensue.

2016 was bittersweet for me. Lots of ups and downs. I am living alone now, that is a huge positive. I love my new place. My dog is with me and he has not been this happy in a long time. His entire demeanor has changed.

I think 2017 is going to be great. I will make it great.
