2016 Republican National Convention

Dallas Texas, home to such Presidential landmarks as the George W. Bush Library and the Texas School Book Depository Sixth Floor Museum, has lost out on its bid to host the 2016 Republican National Convention. It wasn't for lack of trying. They had real elephants and real cheerleaders, but they didn't have a way to make it happen in June rather than July.

Cleveland Ohio will be the place to gather in June 2016 for a grand old party. Never mind that the state lost electoral votes after the last census; that doesn't matter at all. Ohio has a reputation of voting for the winning candidate, and if the state can be swayed to vote Republican, the rest of the nation would simply have to follow suit.

Never been to Cleveland but I have a friend who used to live there. Pretty sleazy town, from all I hear. Lots of gangbanging activity and shit. The Drew Carey Show put too fine a gloss on it.
