Will be unleashed tomorrow morning... or mourning for some.

Who you got??

Best Actor - Daniel Day-Lewis as 'Lincoln'

He's not even human. His portrayal of Abe blew my mind. While Liam Neeson initally had the role he stepped out and Lewis took over and read over 100 books about Lincoln to get him right. Watch the film - oh yeah, he got him "right" my dears.

But apparently Bradley Cooper might win this for his role in 'Silver Linings Playbook' when even his mother on set said one day, "You're playing yourself."

Well, cool, now we know the mother of an actor praised her son for playing himself so why not give the Oscar to someone extremely worthy and that is DANIEL DAY-LEWIS.

Will Ben Affleck win for 'Argo' or will Kathryn Bigalow win again for her 'Zero Dark 30'?

Funny how she didn't direct a thing until her late 20s/early 30s with 'Pointbreak' and now she's on the verge of beating Spielberg by directing something I thought most in here would call bull to the shit.

Her direction of 'Strange Days' is by far one of my favorite films, not knocking her but the Academy is all.

Oh well, the last time a thread of mine went so lonely, I couldn't keep up with the resluts days later.

Nominations will be announced in a smatter of hours.

Go fuck yourself.

I vote Moonrise Kingdom for best picture, but it probably won't even register on their radar.

You're so lovely, even the fruitcakes that you send to Pink for the holidays make your husband's ass zits go away I bet.

What's sad for this film that I adored (and cried) through, was the timing.

It was just that special but like you, I don't know if they will really honor it the way that they should.

This reminds me of that author that often wrote non sequitur paragraphs with surrealistic undertones. Can anyone remember who I'm talking about? I remember one about a trout or something.

They rarely honor anything good. It's mostly just a series of executive back pats with annoying emceeing.

The crazy runs deep with this one.

Glad I got you quarantined in this here thread, cuz your crazyass has me typing like a redneck when I all I wanted was to watch good film and picture Island Man fucking Kyle up the BUTT HOLE!

In like 5 hours, they'll be honoring the best of the best of this season. Right or wrong, that's how it is.

Look, save a seat, I'll be more than heated when they go all ARGO and the lie about finding Bin Ladin in 30 Dark Zero.

I don't watch the Oscars. It's just kabuki theater. Besides, I have no interest in the multitude of obscure awards. The world's best cinematographer is still a very boring person.

Quoting myself cuz I watched 'Silver Linings Playbook' last night before the Golden Globes. I cannot wait to watch the film again, that's how much I enjoyed it. I'd forgotten how they separate Best Actor in a Comedy/Musical vs. Drama so that's why I was leaning for Day-Lewis over Cooper. Now, without watching Hugh Jackman do his singsong crap, I feel Bradley Cooper may have gotten robbed!

Daniel Day-Lewis > Bradley Cooper
Bradley Cooper > over all others in that Comedy/Musical category

Get me here?

Anyway, so the Academy snubbed Affleck and Tarantino but the Foreign Press sure didn't last night.

i never got the chance to see it, was it worth it?

I started it but then figured it would be one of those mind-bending movies and opted for a comedy one night. Then a friend taking film classes said he and his entire class had to watch the film at a theatre during the recent Ft. Lauderdale Film Festival and then write their final about it so he wanted my input. By the time I got back to him he'd already finished. Have to say, his teacher knows his shit to make his class(es) watch that film and base their final on it. He said, "You got bored during the first 10 minutes, you should have hung in there! It's amazing!"
