2012 NaNoWriMo

Sorry for being presumptuous, but I've been waiting for the traditional thread to start but we're getting close to November first!

I'm taking the plunge for the first time this year and very anxious to hear any words of wisdom or experience on this one.

So who else is going to be writing like crazy come 11/1?

update: Damn - oops, actually the 2011 NaNoWriMo. Crap! anybody know how to edit the name of a thread?!?!?!

I don't think you can change the name of the thread, but that's okay. We can go with this one or start a new one.

I'd really like to do NaNo this year, just not sure I can.

There was one here, but the title probably threw you off. And there's one up in the challenges sub-forum, but, well, I don't go up there much.

I actually did a search on the term NaNoWriMo before starting this thread. Thanks for the link!

Hey! 2012 NaNoWriMo is a lovely title...kind of like an ugly dog that you can't just help but love.

I still don't know what I'm writing but I'm in. My local NaNo group has numerous events planned including one tonight already.

I have my idea and even planned out the basic plot and all but the fleshy parts of the characters. At this point I'm just waiting for the starting bell so I can get the characters on paper with their dilemma and see where they take me.

I have a list of names I can draw from as well as several ideas that may or may not work. Because I have the first six days of the month without school, I plan to write as much as possible during that time. So I have an idea I'll go for either a chaptered piece or an anthology.
