Kammy
We all looked at David as he listened to the radio. Slowly I pulled the phone out and pushed it in Alexis hand. “I am soooo not getting caught with this. Not when he could so easily do that,” she motioned with her head to the mush on the floor. “to my head.” I said softly before I walked up to him, while Alexis looked after me shocked. “Well I lost the bet.” I said softly as I started to turn the dial on the radio, slowly hopping to hear a voice or something, but still I heard nothing.
I looked over at him then down at his boot, she made a face as she said, “You really need to clean that. You’re going to leave tracks on the ground as we walk and if these mutants zombies are as smart as what they when they were human, then they can probably track us.” I explained.
Alexis
I quickly placed the phone in my pocket as Nikki went over to them. “You guys go on and play with your little radio; I’m going to look around a bit more. See if there are any more zombies anywhere. Because I’ll be damned before I let anyone dare me.” I announced before I turned around and started to look around the military base. “Here zombie, zombie, zombie. Mommy needs at least 20 of you little bastards to die.” She said as she peeked into different room among the base.
I pushed a big door open and walked into what looked like a cafeteria type place. I let the doors swing shut behind me as I walked deeper into the room, my guns pointed out in front of me, as I looked this way and that.
Dead bodies of soldiers were scattered on the floor and I really did not want to step on any so I climbed onto the large, long table and walked along them, heading to some double doors. As I got closure I could easily here movement inside, pans banging, pots hitting the floor, obviously someone was in there.
I jumped off the edge of the table and proceed to the double door, only stopping a few inches away and taking a deep breath. I reached out and pushed the door open, wincing as it creaked, and stepped inside the kitchen. As I release the door, I looked around and saw… nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
“Okay, weird.” I whispered to myself as I started to walk deeper into the kitchen, kicking pans out of my way as I went. In this room there were barley any bodies and the ones that were in here looking like all the meat was picked off. I had to hold myself back from vomiting. As I reached the end of the room, I sighed and turned around, thinking I was just going crazy and hearing this, I walked right into a mutant…. Or a giant. Before I could raise my guns, they were smacked out of my hand and across the room. A scream rose in my throat as I quickly scrambled back, away from the creature.
