Baseball is what I use to take naps to anymore..............I am speaking about Major League Baseball. I do go and support my local Minor League Baseball teams if I so choose. I haven't watched nor kept up with baseball (other than knowing who is in the WS or Playoffs) for quite some time. I wish those bastards would have gone on strike, then we could have stuck a fork in MLB, because it would have been DONE, FINISHED.

Sorry man, they just lost me alonnnnnnnnnnng time ago with MLB. Most of the Pro Players in NFL, NBA and MLB are a bunch of whining, crying babies but the MLB is the worst of them all. THEY get paid 6 figures MINIMUM to play Baseball, and then have the gall to threaten to strike (and did/do) because they want MORE?

I am just very jaded towards MLB. Sorry. Hell I would LOVE to have a Cop, Nurse, Schoolteacher, Fireman or other professionals who REALLY contribute to society and actually do something that is worth the $$$ get it.

Sure Pro Players deserve to make money, no question........but A Rod making what $20 MILLION a freakin Season? C'mon........that's insane, especially when teachers and Police Officers struggle most of the time to get by........

It's kind of like feeding trolls, if you don't feed em they'll go away. So I don't feed baseball by watching, buying or spending any $$$ on it in the hopes it will go away. Maybe if it does, then something that is more true Sport of Baseball will take it's place. I know it's a pipedream...........but that's all IMHO.

I'm going for the Giants. I guess I don't have a favorite team anymore, except maybe the Yankees, but that's just because I have so many great memories of Yankee Stadium. I take each game/series separately. I like the Giants 'cause they beat the Braves--hate the Braves.

While I agree that players are overpaid, you also have to keep in mind they are entertainers too, not just athletes.

Is A-Rod making $ 20 million a year any worse than one of the actors in Hollywood making $ 20 million for 2 months of film shoots...?

Actually, I'm more disenfranchised with colledge football/basketball because the players can't take one red penny, but the colledges themselves can take millions and that is bullshit.
